Washington junior nickel Dyson McCutcheon speaks with the media during spring camp about why he chose to stay, and what his thoughts are being one of a few veterans on the team.

00:02Not really, when I first got here, everyone said, college, it flies by.
00:09And it definitely does.
00:10So it doesn't feel like I've been here a long time.
00:13But then when I look at what it says on ESPN or something like that,
00:17I'm a junior in school, so it definitely flies by, sure.
00:22How difficult has it been just going through the coaching changes that you've
00:25been through?
00:27It definitely has been difficult.
00:28Well, I mean, I think, I kind of knew that's kind of how the game is.
00:35They said commit to the school, don't really commit to a coach.
00:40So I knew when people said that, that anything could happen.
00:43But I feel like every coach that's come in,
00:46all my DB coaches that I've had have been great coaches.
00:50So it's just different coaching styles.
00:52So I feel like there hasn't been any negatives on my part to where
00:58I'm getting coached less or anything like that.
01:00When you're getting coached by one guy, you learn habits.
01:03Is it hard to let those habits go when you're getting a new coach?
01:06Or is it pretty much the same?
01:08I'll say it's the same.
01:10Every coach has their techniques in a way, or different verbiage.
01:16So the coverages we have right now, and the kind of techniques we call.
01:22We had the same coverages in the last defense, it's just different terminology.
01:27So I feel like it is kind of difficult about the same way.
01:30Everyone has their own technique, so yeah.
01:33You've been running a lot with the first defense.
01:36You feel like you've paid your dues, your time is now?
01:40I definitely feel like I've worked.
01:42I definitely think I worked for it.
01:44And I'm honored to be in the first group, and I have pride in that.
01:49So I definitely feel like I give it my all, and
01:52try to not keep up with the other guys, but also put in my part with the other guys.
01:58So yeah, it's a blessing.
