Court extends remand for Nur Farah Kartini murder suspect by seven days

The remand period for the suspect in the Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah murder case has been extended by seven days.

The order to extend the remand was issued by the Kuala Kubu Bharu Sessions Court on Monday (July 22).

00:00The remand period for the suspect in the Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah murder case has been

00:10The order to extend the remand, which began on July 16, was issued by the Kuala Kubu Baru
00:16Sessions Court on Monday.
00:19The application to extend the remand was made to assist the investigation under Section
00:25302 of the Penal Code.
00:28The suspect is a 26-year-old Lance Corporal attached to the Slim River Police Station
00:34in Perak and has been serving for five years.
00:38He was detained after Nur Farah's body was found in an oil palm plantation in Kampung
00:44Sri Kledang, Hulu, Selangor on July 15.
00:49Investigators have so far recovered what's believed to be the victim's mobile phone and
00:54handbag as well as the suspect's SIM card.
00:57Police have also inspected a car believed to have been used by the suspect during the
01:02incident.
