00:00The Department of Foreign Affairs hopes that the illegal actions of the China Coast Guard in the West Philippine Sea will not happen again.
00:08This is followed by a full consultation between the Philippines and China regarding the RORE missions in Ayungin Shoal.
00:14J.P. Soriano is a witness.
00:21The position of the President regarding the issue in the West Philippine Sea is clear.
00:25The West Philippine Sea is not just our own thoughts. It is ours.
00:33In an interview with GMA Integrated News after the SONA, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo said
00:39that the government of the Philippines hopes that the illegal actions of the China Coast Guard in the West Philippine Sea will not happen again.
00:47This is followed by a full consultation between the Philippines and China
00:52According to Manalo, the RORE will continue with the soldiers in the BRP Sierra Madre.
00:57But if China will follow the talks, Manalo said,
01:01Well, it's really an effort that we work with China to find a way where we can de-escalate the tensions
01:09and find a way where we can undertake operations without any more of the events that have happened.
01:15So hopefully, that will happen. But we have to see.
01:19As for the question, is it in the talks if China will monitor the RORE?
01:23Well, that's an operational fact. Read the title.
01:26In spite of the consultation, National Security Advisor Eduardo Año insisted that the Philippines will not say goodbye
01:33to any RORE mission that the Philippines will do in the future.
01:37We will not say goodbye. We will not say goodbye because this is our right.
01:42As I said, this is an understanding but we are not giving or surrendering any of our national interests.
01:50Look forward to seeing what happens in the West Philippine Sea.
01:54Now that the Philippines and the PRC have reached this agreement,
01:58we are very hopeful for de-escalation of tensions.
02:02The group in question said that the government's commitment to the territory of the Philippines is still in progress.
02:10There is also no program for the fishermen of Bagsakang Kabuhayan
02:14because of the presence of foreign ships in the Philippine Ocean.
02:19Nevertheless, the hardship experienced by the Filipino fishermen in the rising tensions in the West Philippine Sea is not a coincidence.
02:28For GMA Integrated News, I am JP Soriano, your witness.
02:36The third zone of President Bongbong Marcos lasted for 1 hour and 22 minutes.
02:42It is one of the longest in his zones.
02:44It was crossed more than 100 times and was also visited by various high-ranking officials of the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary in the country,
02:53as well as the bodies of various countries and other governments.
02:58There were former President Joseph Estrada and former President Gloria Arroyo.
03:03Vice President Sara Duterte was also not allowed to watch the zone.
03:08The Vice President is in Bohol to meet the Boholans.
03:12The next panel is led by Vice Governor Dionisio Victor Balite.
03:18Are you not going to watch the zone?
03:20No, I am busy with my activities here in Bohol.
03:24Today, from early in the morning until later in the afternoon, until later in the evening.
03:30So, I will not watch the zone.
03:33The Charter Change will not be the priority of Senate President Chisa Escudero.
03:38House Speaker Martin Romualdez did not mention this in the opening session of the House earlier.
03:43Witness, Ma'am Gonzales.
03:49Twenty-three Senators were present in the first session of the Senate earlier.
03:53The former Senator and now Education Secretary Sonny Angara was not present.
03:58In his first opening speech as Senate President,
04:01Senator Chisa Escudero said,
04:08He also said,
04:13This is not on the list of the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council or LEDAC.
04:18This means that it is not the priority of the Executive.
04:27This is not a regular process of legislation, if at all.
04:30Instead, bills which can affect the same result but without the needless political noise and bickering will be prioritized.
04:39This will allow us to focus our energy on measures which the people truly need.
04:44The unity and establishment of a strong country
04:47became the central message of Speaker Martin Romualdez in the opening session of the House.
04:52We at the House of Representatives stand united with the President
04:57in his desire to advance the legislative initiatives that will shape the nation's path forward.
05:03This is a time for unity and we fully support the President.
05:08The priority of the House will be to pass the 6.352 trillion Pesos 2025 National Budget.
05:16The Speaker did not mention about the Charter Change in his opening speech.
05:20For GMA Integrated News, I am Mav Gonzalez, your witness.
05:50The President and the man in the video are far apart.
05:53The gate of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and the Department of Information and Communications Technology,
05:59the video is malicious and fake.
06:05The public schools were cleaned a week before the election.
06:08The collected water was removed so that it can be saved.
06:11Darlene Cai is a witness.
06:13Darlene Cai.
06:17Each and every bit of cleanliness and tidiness,
06:20teachers, parents, the school's division office, MMDA and other volunteers
06:25to clean and organize the Potrero Elementary School in Malabon.
06:29That was a week before the official start of the class.
06:32The worries of the parents, flood and possible damage to the houses that have shops.
06:39There are many stagnant drainage.
06:43We need to fix those.
06:47That's what the school's division office in Malabon wants to focus on.
06:50That's why they also declogged the canals.
06:53The collected water was also removed from different parts of the school.
06:56Of course, we are sure that number one, our canals are pre-flowing.
07:02There are no leaves clogging the canals of each building.
07:09Because the teachers in the school's division office are busy preparing for the school year,
07:13the first order of the new Department of Education Secretary, Sonny Angara,
07:17is to postpone the teachers' handover to their report,
07:21where they will review the past school year.
07:24The teachers' complaint is that they will be together on the day of the school year.
07:29So, we need a lot of documentation.
07:32We will suspend it for maybe one or one and a half months.
07:37Earlier, Sonny Angara led his first flag-raising ceremony in the DepEd Central Office as a new secretary.
07:44Aside from the high salary of the teachers, he also wants to solve the problems in the classroom.
