00:00The barangay of Gulod in Novaliches, Quezon City was set on fire last night.

00:08Residents were immediately evacuated from the burned houses, but none of their belongings were salvaged.

00:12Here is the first news, James Agustin.

00:15A house was covered in flames and heavy smoke.

00:22In the barangay of Gulod in Novaliches, Quezon City, around 10.30 p.m.,

00:26the firemen had a hard time operating the fire.

00:28It only took a few seconds for the fire to spread,

00:32because the second floor of the house was made of wood.

00:35The first alarm was set on the Bureau of Fire Protection,

00:38but their firetruck in the shop responded.

00:40Residents paid for the passage of buckets

00:44to supply water to the firetruck in the front.

00:47Some firemen used a ladder to get to the second floor.

00:52Lina, who was guarding her shop, was in front of the burned house.

00:56She witnessed the whole incident.

00:58I told my son, I said, it smells like fire.

01:01My husband said, yes, ma'am.

01:03I'm always alert when that happens.

01:06When I look out of the window, because I was just there,

01:10I saw something moving.

01:12It started from their window.

01:15Then the child screamed. It was loud.

01:17It was really loud.

01:19Residents were immediately evacuated from the house.

01:21They were not able to save anything.

01:23It was really loud. We didn't know what to do.

01:25When we tried to escape, the fire started.

01:27We just ran away.

01:29We were the only ones who tried to escape.

01:31The BFP investigated the fire and the whole significance of the incident.

01:36The house was burned down after one hour.
