00:00The Palace of Malacanang suspended the process of all public hearings and all government duties in the National Capital Region
00:09due to the effect of the Southwest Monsoon or Hanging Hapagat that was intensified by the typhoon earlier.
00:16Executive Secretary Lucas Berzonin said that the suspension is based on the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
00:28Private companies, offices, and parliaments were also instructed to suspend the process.
00:36Frontline agencies that are involved in emergency services are not included in the suspension.
00:43This is also to avoid untoward incidents and to ensure the safety of the public.
