Metro Manila placed under state of calamity

The Metro Manila Council (MMC) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Wednesday, July 24, placed Metro Manila under a State of Calamity due to heavy and torrential rains brought about by Typhoon Carina and the enhanced Habagat that caused massive flooding in the National Capital Region (NCR).
