The discovery of suspected archaeological remains at the site of a future TSMC plant has sparked a search for dig crew members.

00:00Archaeologists are putting together a dig team to recover suspected historical artifacts in southern Taiwan.
00:06The Jiayi location is the site of a planned packaging facility for semiconductor giant TSMC.
00:12But work has stopped since the discovery of the possible relics.
00:16Some people say the pay for the dig team is barely higher than that of farm workers, so is unlikely to attract many takers.
00:23But others say the rare chance to do archaeology in Taiwan could be exciting.
00:29According to the plan, the government of Jiayi has agreed to rescue.
00:33So the archaeology team has gone in to rescue those cultural relics.
00:39After the rescue, they can resume work.
00:42At present, this is the rescue stage.
