00:00Because of the severe effects of Hurricane Karina, which was intensified by the typhoon Habagat,
00:05some places in the country, including Metro Manila, were submerged in a state of calamity.
00:11President Marco's order to the government agencies is to focus on those affected by the floods.
00:17In Quezon City, more than 14,000 families have been evacuated,
00:21including those who are currently staying in an evacuation center in Katipunan.
00:27Bon Aquino has a report.
00:31The San Antonio Elementary School's evacuation center in Barangay Katipunan, Quezon City,
00:37was flooded up to the point of being flooded.
00:40Even though the floods reached Adola 6 last night,
00:43there was still no power in the evacuation center.
00:46That's why the evacuees stayed in the dark.
00:49According to some evacuees, some of them are staying by the river.
00:53They say their misters are guarding the roof of their houses to guard their belongings.
00:59They will go home once the floods subside.
01:01But for now, it's better to wait and see.
