Toyota at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024 - Rowan Atkinson
Transcript
00:00It was slightly better than last year's, I thought.
00:10I think it was, you know, I just so appreciate Toyota's courage in pursuing the hydrogen
00:17idea.
00:18So it's, you know, I just think it's very admirable.
00:20I think it improves all the time.
00:23And that's all you can hope for with development, isn't it, is you get closer to your ideal.
00:27No, I thoroughly enjoyed it and, you know, look forward, you know, to seeing hydrogen
00:32developed in ways that everyone wants to see it done.
00:36Yeah, it was a bit of the wrong side for me, for sure, to sit on the right seat.
00:41But yeah, I think we did take a steady, that was not the purpose, again, to drive crazy.
00:46But yeah, I was very, very, let's say, surprised to see how excited, how enthusiastic he is
00:52about the new technology and how Toyota is pushing it and I can definitely only support
00:58that.
00:59Seb was a terrible co-driver, he clearly has no idea, he's clearly never, I'm not sure
01:07he's ever been in a rally car in his life, he just had no idea what to do.
01:11But anyway, it was very, he was very tolerant, that's the truth of the matter.
01:17And even though we were driving, let's face it, pretty slowly, because I was driving,
01:22it can be a very nerve-wracking thing.
01:24And I thought he was actually very tolerant, very, very, he didn't scream, I didn't see
01:31him grab anything, so there, so there.
01:35I took that as some kind of endorsement of my driving skill or lack of it.
01:40Anyway, no, no, he was a delight to me and that's all I could hope for, yeah.
01:46And I kept it on the black stuff, that was my only ambition.
