00:00In General Trias Cavite, a shaman suspect was caught in a voice phishing scam.

00:06He is the type of fraudster who uses his phone to steal money from the bank accounts of his victims.

00:13Jun Feneracion was arrested.

00:18After 8 months of investigation,

00:21the shaman suspect who was caught in a voice phishing scam was arrested in General Trias Cavite last night.

00:28In that mode, the victims are being called on the phone while the bankers are pretending to be able to convert their credit card points into cash.

00:39To do that, they need to be given a one-time PIN that will be sent to them by the bank.

00:44But that PIN is already susie so that the contents of the bank account can be easily accessed.

00:50The arrested are part of a big syndicate and there are higher-ups here.

00:57We will continue to look for them.

01:01The suspects were given cellphones and registered SIMs that they use to watch voice phishing.

01:07The SIMs are registered, but they did not watch their names, but the names of the previous owners.

01:12They were bought for P100 to P200.

01:17Bank documents were also found in the area where the suspects were raided.

01:25This is where the suspects are getting the number of their victims.
