00:00President Bongbong Marcos assessed the extent of the flood damage in his home province, Ilocos Norte.

00:06He also asked the Public Works Department why some flood control projects were damaged there.

00:18In the aftermath of the Ilocos Norte flood damage,

00:21the estimated value of the damage to infrastructure and agriculture reached almost a billion pesos,

00:27according to the local government.

00:29In the aftermath of the flood damage, the Ilocos Norte was under state of calamity.

00:34As for the damaged land in Barangay Gabo Norte, Salawag,

00:38the President distributed financial assistance and relief goods to 800 recipients of ACAP,

00:44or Ayuda sa Kapusangkita Program.

00:47The President also announced that he will build a new land.

00:51The President also conducted an aerial inspection and visited Ilocos Norte

00:55to investigate the extent of the damage.

00:59In the post-calamity briefing in Salawag City, which was led by the President,

01:03he asked DPWH Secretary Manuel Bunoan

01:06why some flood control projects in the province were damaged after several typhoons.

01:12Before the typhoons, this was not damaged.
