A woman is taking a solo gap year at the age of 31 - and wants to "break" the "expectation" that it's too late.

India Jolly had always wanted to travel around south east Asia but every time she had the savings to go she ended up going back to university to study instead.

She realised her short attention span was a symptom of ADHD, after seeing other women talking about it on TikTok, and was officially diagnosed in August 2022.

After taking a fixed term maternity cover job as a curator at a museum she used the opportunity to save to travel and booked her flights before she could change her mind.

00:00There really wasn't much traffic until we got to actual Heathrow, which was good, and
00:26said goodbye to my bag which was launched down the conveyor belt, had a sammy with mum,
00:32cried some more in the airport, good times. I don't know about you but my favourite part
00:35of flying is the take off, I just find it thrilling, and here was me seeing Thailand
00:40for the first time. Then I had the excitement of booking a grab, the driver went to a completely
00:44different part of the airport than he should have gone, but there we go, we made it. It's
00:49very hot, here was me looking at Bangkok, I'll be honest I didn't realise quite how
00:53big the city is which is probably a really stupid thing to say.
