00:11The addition of new sports and the return of others that debuted in Tokyo reflects the

00:14International Olympic Committee's aim to create inclusive and youth-centered games.

00:20This year, four distinct sports set to electrify audiences are breakdancing, sport climbing,

00:25skateboarding, and surfing.

00:28Breakdancing, known as breaking by the IOC, will grace the Olympic stage for the first

00:33time.

00:34This genre of dance, which has captivated the hip-hop world for decades, will feature

00:38two events for men and women, each hosting 16 competitors.

00:43These athletes will engage in fierce solo battles, busting out moves like windmills,

00:48six-step, and freezes, all improvised to a DJ's beats.

00:52The women's competition kicks off at 10.15 a.m. ET on August 9, followed by the men's

00:57event at 10.15 a.m. ET on August 10, culminating in winners being crowned at 3.15 p.m. ET.

01:05Sport climbing is also making a comeback after its acclaimed debut.

01:10This sport features three gripping events, lead, speed climbing, and bouldering.

01:15In the lead event, climbers ascend a 49-foot wall within six minutes on a route they haven't

01:22Speed climbing ups the ante with head-to-head duels, while bouldering challenges athletes

01:26to navigate a 13-foot wall send safety ropes as quickly and efficiently as possible.

01:32Sport climbing will be held from August 5 to 10, with 30 for men and 30 for women competing.

01:38Skateboarding, fueled by its Tokyo debut, will showcase 22 men and 22 women in two engaging

01:47Park athletes will utilize bowls and bends to perform high-flying tricks judged on height,

01:55Street competitions will simulate urban environments, with skateboarders judged on to runs and

02:02Skateboarding ramps up on July 27-28 and August 6-7 at the Place de la Concorde.
