00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're counting down the fan created Souls bosses that proved
00:09to be the epitome of punishing.
00:16Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:21the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:25Forsaken Knight Ornstein and Desecrator Smough, Dark Souls, Daughters of Ash.
00:37The most iconic duo in all of Dark Souls, their boss battle is legendary, with their
00:42second phase dictated depending on who the player vanquishes first, with the survivor
00:47receiving a tremendous upgrade in terms of size and power.
00:51Now imagine if both of them were powered up from the get go, that's right, you have
00:55to contend with both Smough and Ornstein at once, both giant sized, and neither giving
01:00an inch, putting a spicy twist on a beloved classic.
01:03Oh but that's not all, while cutting down one doesn't exactly give the other a boost,
01:08it does give them a brand new devastatingly strong second phase.
01:12Ornstein, Scion of Nought, or Sun Eater Smough, pick your poison.
01:25Godskin Matriarch, Elden Ring, The Convergence
01:34What if there was an extra challenge waiting for you at the peak of the Divine Tower of
01:37Lernia?
01:38What if you were greeted by a third member of the Godskin gang?
01:41The answer is pure pain, because Godskin Mama over here is downright dirty, combining
01:48the likes of Orin and Friede's movesets and stances.
01:51Throw in the traditional Black Flames and an absolute bombardment of a second phase,
01:56and she puts the Godskin duo to shame, is it masochistic of us to say how naturally
02:00she fits into this game?
02:08King of Fallen Oolacile, Dark Souls 3, The Convergence
02:17Nobody liked Half-Light, he was the weakest cog in an otherwise exceptional DLC, so what
02:23if he was given the greatest of glow-ups?
02:25He might look a little something like this, the ruler of a ruined land buried in the depths
02:30of Dark Souls lore.
02:32Sure he still spams those light spears like no tomorrow, but now he's got a side with
02:35insane reach, the swiftness of the Corrupted Monk and Logarius' movesets, and can even
02:41teleport.
02:42The result is a million times more imposing, along with a crazy spike in difficulty, and
02:47would have made an excellent addition to the Ringed City's canon collection of bosses.
02:57Aldrich, Saint of the Deep, Dark Souls, Archthrones
03:06Everyone is familiar with Aldrich, Devourer of Gods, but what if we were to face him without
03:11his most famous puppet?
03:13The answer is an alternate version that is no less memorable.
03:16Despite now being just a giant slime monster, Aldrich utilises ice magic as well as the
03:21Deacons of the Deep to great effect, combining both bosses in such a way that we can easily
03:26see some preferring this than facing down his traditional form.
03:29It's certainly a creative interpretation of what it would be like to fight the cannibalistic
03:33sludge before it got its maw on Gwyndolin.
03:41Artorias of the Abyss, Sif the Great Grey Wolf, and the Abyss in Artorias.
03:47Dark Souls, Daughters of Ash
03:53The tragedy of Artorias the Abysswalker is one of Dark Souls' most enduring tales,
03:58as is the fate of his fluffy companion.
04:00So ever wonder what it would be like to face both at once?
04:04Well, worry no longer.
04:05What starts is the traditional bout against Sif takes the sharpest of turns, as Artorias
04:09enters the fray when the wolf's life drops below a certain level.
04:12Can it get any crazier?
04:14Of course it can.
04:15After Sif falls in battle, Artorias will transform into the Abyss in Artorias, which is just
04:20basically a reskin of Manus, aka the harder spots of the original game.
04:25Sure, alternate versions of Artorias and Sif will be summoned to aid you in combat, but
04:29that doesn't make this fight any less of a marathon.
04:39Rhineblood Hati of the Undead Legion, and Skull the Great Wolf, Dark Souls, Archthrones.
04:50We all remember the Abysswalkers, right?
04:53A true test of skill for those just getting their feet wet in Dark Souls 3.
04:57As for Great Wolves, they're a true and tested enemy, known to cause grief due to
05:01the ferocity of their attack patterns.
05:03You see where we're going with this?
05:05Yep.
05:06Both.
05:07At.
05:08Once.
05:09It's as cruel as it is inspired.
05:10Rhineblood Hati is a force of nature, with their attacks now able to cause frostbite
05:14buildup.
05:15Made all the worse with their pet wolf leaping into your blind spot at any given moment.
05:20This is the one boss we feel like Miyazaki would have wanted to include, if he could.
05:28Vessel of Rot and Scion of the Sealed God, Elden Ring, the Convergence.
05:40Millenia's legacy continues to endure as one of the most difficult bosses FromSoft has
05:45ever produced.
05:46And now, that legacy has a new, bulkier, and diabolical form.
05:51The Vessel of Rot is no slouch, attacking with its staff before eventually going feral
05:55and lunging forward, letting out bursts of Scarlet Rot all the while.
05:59But that is nothing compared to its second phase, echoing not only the Goddess of Rot,
06:04but also the Demon Prince.
06:06If you thought the abundance of Scarlet Rot was bad before, just wait.
06:11This thing is a monster that will trigger your Blade of Micula PTSD.
06:20Kreml, God of Struggle, and Kreml, Profaned Deity.
06:24Dark Souls, Archthrones.
06:31Taking a minor character mentioned briefly in Dark Souls' vast tapestry of lore, and
06:36turning it into an epic boss battle, seems to be the name of the game when it comes to
06:40this mod, and Kreml does not disappoint.
06:43Best described as a frosty radigan, Kreml will go full hammer time should you let him,
06:48made all the worse with how he will also try and summon his personal guard to overwhelm
06:52you.
06:53This is then flipped on its head during his fiery second phase, and while the guards will
06:57turn against their master, it won't do you much good, on account of Kreml going all out
07:02with Artorias and Gwyn's most famous techniques.
07:10Pontiff Sulyvahn, Dark Souls 3, The Convergence.
07:15In his original incarnation, the Pontiff devastated every Ashen One he came across, thanks to
07:20wielding two powerful blades, a flurry of swings with the tightest of dodge windows,
07:25and being able to summon a shadowy clone of himself, just to rub salt in the wound.
07:29Overall, a top-tier Souls villain, and a top-tier pain in the ass to deal with.
07:34So, what did this mod do?
07:36Well, it gave Kreml the ability to summon his own guard to overwhelm you.
07:41So, what did this mod do?
07:44It gave him a second health bar, and turned one of his blades into a spear, doubling the
07:48reach and breadth of his attacks.
07:50It's downright evil, and fits Sulyvahn's character to an infuriating degree.
07:55Might as well be the final boss at this point.
08:05Hade Phoenix, Dark Souls, Archthrones.
08:11HADE PHOENIX, DARK SOULS, ARCHTHRONES
08:14Arguably the hardest boss from one of the most celebrated mods to ever be created,
08:19this Flamebird is a gauntlet, even by Souls standards.
08:23Aggressive beyond belief, the Phoenix will lash out constantly with talons and fireballs aplenty,
08:28complete with AoE attacks that completely fill the area, offering minimal chances to recover.
08:34You're going to spend a lot of time retreating, hunting for opportunities to get in the occasional
08:39strike, and praying you don't get singed.
08:42Recent tweaks have made it far more manageable, but to those who soloed this in its original state,
08:47you're a god among men.
08:54Which mod boss do you think best captures the essence of Dark Souls?
