00:00Next Monday, the entrance exam will be held in a school in Quezon City because of the closed classrooms.

00:08Some students did not pass the grade 11 exam to avoid being expelled.

00:12And some are still waiting for their enrollment.

00:18Well, in less than an hour, the PM shift of onsite learners here in Batasan Hills National High School will be over.

00:28This is the first day of enrollment.

00:30The usual problem with the lack of facilities is that they are now finding a way.

00:39Despite the floods in a large part of Metro Manila last week,

00:43the opening of Batasan Hills National High School is going well today.

00:47They were able to prepare everything, even the lack of classrooms.

00:51There is no grade 11 in the school to decongest the growing population.

00:55We referred all of our incoming grade 11 to other public schools.

01:00So now, they are in front of other public schools nearby.

01:04They were able to reduce the number of students by more than 2,000.

01:07Despite the usual problems in the schools, there are too many teachers and students.

01:12The lack of facilities will be given to other schools in the school district.

01:16The excess teachers will be reassigned.

01:19But because there are still more than 15,000 students,

01:22blended learning is being implemented in the school so that it will not be restricted to single-day classes.

01:27There are selected sections that are in a 3-2 scheme that is blended.

01:32Three days of onsite and two days of online synchronous.

01:39The teachers on the sides of the covered court and in the classrooms are taught an online class

01:45There are five sections from grade 7 to 10 that are all onsite because they are having a hard time with blended learning.

01:51Those in grade 12 or the graduating class are all onsite.

02:07We have more time for our teachers to teach us.

02:10Aside from these parents who are still in a hurry to enroll their children,

02:14almost nothing happened on the first day of the school year.

02:17But in Masambong Elementary School,

02:19the cleaning of the 15 classrooms that were wet and covered with bleach is still not done.

02:24The learning kits given by the local government were wet

02:27and the papers and notebooks cannot be used.

02:30The TV and electric fans are also broken.

02:32Because of this, the school year is delayed by a week.

02:35It's already August 5, the first day of their class.

02:38I think they can do it because the support of our LGU and our DepEd continues.

02:44All of this can be replaced, even our learning kits.

02:53Aside from blended learning and the long-term AM-PM shift scheme,

02:57the school here plans to implement purely online learning

03:01for students who can handle this style.

03:04Of course, they also need to get teachers who can teach purely online.
