00:00Tattoos might be a permanent mistake, meaning that tattoos can't come off your body, but
00:10your love for tattoos is not permanent.
00:17Before I talk about this subject and this topic, let me make a big shout out to the
00:22pharisees and the hypocrites, and I'm going to say it slowly so you can comprehend.
00:34I am not saying tattoos are acceptable.
00:38What I am saying is this.
00:42What God made clean is clean indeed.
00:45What God has made clean is clean indeed.
00:51I have no tattoos, but just because I don't have any tattoos doesn't make me better than
00:59those who have tattoos.
01:02I just want to make myself clear to the pharisees and those hypocrites.
01:12What a person once was, they are not.
01:17What a person once was, they are not.
01:21What I once was when I was walking in the flesh, when I was in my sinful nature, and
01:28when God changed me, I'm no longer that old person.
01:34What a person once was, they are not.
01:36When they got the tattoos, when they put the tattoos all over their body, and now as they
01:43come to God, they are not the same person.
01:49What a person once was, they are not, meaning what God has made clean is clean indeed.
01:55What God has made clean is clean indeed, for we all have sinned, past tense, and fallen
02:01short of the glory of God.
02:05We all have sinned, every person on the planet have sinned, and fallen short to the glory
02:11of God.
02:14Now that we should be born again, our old life is not present anymore.
02:20So if our old life is not present anymore, that means we are new creatures in Jesus Christ.
02:28If you're still doing your old ways, that means you have not changed.
02:33Now that we should be born again, our old life is not present anymore.
02:37The new life in Christ is present now in us, because we gave our life to Christ.
02:46So if you cannot be seen, talking to a person who has tattoos all over their body, and I
02:52am supposed to be in the body of Christ, and you're supposed to be in the body of Christ,
02:57that person who has tattoos all over their body is now in the body of Christ, because
03:00God has died for all.
03:05And what makes you think that you're better than them?
03:10This is an allegory.
03:13What if God told me, what if God told me, Trey, fellowship with people with tattoos
03:18all over their face?
03:19What if God told you that?
03:22Fellowship with people who have tattoos all over their face, they got tattoos all over
03:27their body, got tattoos all over their face, and piercings all over their face.
03:34What shall I say?
03:37What if I said, no, Lord, it is forbidden, for they are unclean to fellowship with.
03:43So God's telling me to fellowship with people with tattoos and piercings all over their
03:47face and their bodies.
03:48But what if I said, Lord, no, no, I can't, they're forbidden, they're unclean to fellowship
03:52with.
03:53And what if God says, do not call anything impure that God has made clean.
03:59Do you understand what I'm saying, Pharisees, or church pure warmers?
04:05Do you understand what I am trying to say to you, Pharisees and church pure warmers?
04:11You're just sitting in the church, but you're not taking in the attributes of Jesus Christ.
04:18You're just sitting there, but not taking in the attributes of Jesus Christ.
04:20You want to poke fun, you want to laugh, you want to make fun, you want to make fun of
04:26Jesus Christ.
04:27You want to poke fun, you want to not be seen with people who have piercings over their
04:34bodies and tattoos over their bodies because you think you're better than them.
04:38But God pulls you out from your own sin.
04:41He didn't say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I can't, I'm going to stay away, I can't
04:46help her, I can't pull her out, I can't make her reborn again.
04:51But God has changed and made new as new indeed.
04:55Transformation, reborn again, brand new in Christ's recognition, Jesus is Lord.
05:04The joy of the Lord is my salvation.
05:07The righteousness of the Lord is my substance.
05:11Truth and knowledge, truth and knowledge.
05:18Transformation, reborn again, brand new in Christ's recognition, Jesus is Lord.
05:24The joy of the Lord is my salvation.
05:27The righteousness of the Lord is my substance.
05:31Truth and knowledge, truth and knowledge.
05:35What person, what a person once was, they are not.
05:49What a person once was, they are not.
05:53Meaning that God has made them clean.
05:57It's clean indeed.
05:59What God made clean is clean indeed.
06:01Who are you to deny the love of Christ to anyone?
06:04Who are you?
06:06I can't hang out with him.
06:08I can't hang out with him.
06:11He has a skeleton on his face.
06:15He has profanity on his forehead.
06:20He has all this different stuff all over his face, piercings.
06:28He's terrible to look at.
06:31That's his old life.
06:33His new life is in Christ.
06:36Who are we to deny the love of Christ to anyone?
06:40Some would say, I can't be seen with someone or talk to anyone who has tattoos over their body.
06:48Knowing that that person has changed.
06:51Knowing that that person has changed.
06:55Some people go to church, they have tattoos all over their body and piercings all over their face and stuff like that, and they feel uncomfortable because they don't feel accepted.
07:04They don't feel loved by you.
07:10Their sins may be visible, but your sin was invisible.
07:15But it's still the same.
07:17Their sin may be visible to you, but your sin was invisible to them.
07:23Your sin was invisible and God forgave you.
07:26The same way you deny them, the same way God will deny you.
07:31It is written in Matthew 520, for I tell you, unless your righteousness surpass the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
07:43Matthew 520.
07:45Unless your righteousness has surpassed the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
07:55So to the Pharisees, I'm not saying that tattoos are acceptable.
08:00What I am saying is this, what God has made clean is clean in deed.
08:07So whatever church denomination that you belong to, whatever organization that you belong to, if you are a Seventh-day Adventist, if you are a Jehovah Witness, if you are Mormon, if you are Pentecostal Evangelical, whatever you say you belong to,
08:24if you're fellowship and you can't fellowship with someone who has tattoos all over their bodies, who has piercings all over their face, how can you belong to Christ?
08:40How can you belong to Christ?
08:43Because through Jesus Christ, does He show favoritisms?
08:52Does His mercy show favoritisms?
08:57So if you can't fellowship with people who have piercings all over their body or tattoos all over their body, how can God fellowship with you?
09:09I want you to think about that.
09:11I want you to think about that as we go dive into Acts 10.
09:16Let's dive into Acts 10, and I want you to think about it.
09:20At Caesarea, there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as Italian regiment.
09:29He and his family were devoted and God-fearing.
09:32He gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.
09:37One day at about three in the afternoon, he had a vision.
09:42He distantly saw an angel of God who came to him and said, Cornelius.
09:48Cornelius stared at him in fear.
09:51What is it, Lord?
09:52He asked.
09:53The angel answered, your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.
10:00Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon, who is called Peter.
10:06He is staying with Simon the Tanner, whose house is by the sea.
10:11When angels who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.
10:22He told him everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa to request Peter.
10:32Acts 10, 9 through 23, Peter's vision.
10:37About noon the following day, as they were on the journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
10:45He became hungry and wanted something to eat.
10:48And while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
10:52He saw heaven open and something like a large sheep began letting down to earth by its four corners.
11:00It contained all kinds of four foot animals as well as reptiles and birds.
11:07Then a voice told him, get up, Peter, kill and eat.
11:11Surely, surely not, Lord, Peter replied.
11:15I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.
11:19The voice spoke to him a second time.
11:22Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.
11:26This happened three times and immediately the sheep was taken back to heaven.
11:33While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon's house was and stopped at the gate.
11:44They called out asking if Simon, who were known as Peter, was staying there.
11:51While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the spirit said to him, Simon, three men are looking for you.
11:59So get up and go downstairs.
12:02Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.
12:07Peter went down and said to the men, I am the one you're looking for.
12:13Why have you come?
12:15The men replied, we have come from Cornelius, the centurion.
12:21He is a righteous and God fearing man who is respected by all the Jewish people.
12:28A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.
12:38Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests.
12:44Acts 10, 24 through 43, Peter at Cornelius' house.
12:50The next day, Peter started out with them and some of the believers from Joppa went along.
12:56The following day, he arrived in Caesarea.
12:59Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends of Peter.
13:05As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.
13:10But Peter made him get up.
13:12Stand up, he said.
13:14I'm only a man myself, Cornelius.
13:18While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.
13:24He said to them, you are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile.
13:34But God has shown me, said Peter, I should never call anyone impure or unclean.
13:43So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection.
13:49Let me point that out one more time.
13:55While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people that were different.
14:04He said to them, you are aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate or visit a Gentile.
14:15So even though you don't look like me, it is against our law to associate with a Jew or a Gentile.
14:25But God has shown me, God has shown me that I should never call anyone impure or unclean.
14:35Because what God has made new is new indeed.
14:39So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection.
14:44When I asked why you sent for me, Cornelius answered in verse 30 of Acts 10.
14:53Three days ago, I was in my house praying at this hour at three in the afternoon.
15:00Suddenly, a man in shining clothes stood before me and said, Cornelius, God has heard your prayer.
15:08And remembered your gifts to the poor.
15:11Send to Joppa for Simon, who is called Peter.
15:16He is a guest in the home of Simon, the tanner who lives by the sea.
15:23So I sent for you immediately.
15:26It was good of you to come.
15:30Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.
15:38Now Peter began to speak.
15:41I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.
15:48Peter began to speak.
15:52I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.
16:00Acts 10, 34.
16:03As we continue in 35, verse 35.
16:08But accepts every nation, the one who fears him and does what is right.
16:15Then Peter began to speak.
16:18Peter began to speak.
16:19I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation, the one who fears him and does what is right.
16:29You know that the message of God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
16:38Who is Lord of all.
16:42You know what has happened throughout the providence of Judea, beginning in Galilee, after the baptism that John preached.
16:53How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and the power.
16:59And how he went around doing good, healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
17:10We are witness of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem.
17:17They killed him by hanging him on the cross.
17:20But God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.
17:26He was not seen by all the people, but by the witness whom God has already chosen.
17:33By us who ate and drunk with him after he rose from the dead.
17:39He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.
17:51All the prophets testify about him, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sin through his name.
18:02That everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sin through his name.
18:12What God has made clean is clean indeed.
