Silver Medals at the Olympics for Adam Peaty and Tom Daley

Daniel Wales looks at the Silver Medals won by diver, Tom Daley, and swimmer, Adam Peaty, for Team GB at the Paris Olympics.

00:00Team GB's medal tally at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris has grown by another two as

00:06stars Tom Daley and Adam Pitti both won silver in their respective disciplines.

00:12In the synchronised 10m platform diving, Tom Daley, alongside diving partner Noah Williams,

00:17won the fifth Olympic medal of his career with silver in Paris, just behind the pair

00:22from China.

00:23Daley had retired from diving after the Games in Tokyo, but returned to the sport having

00:28been inspired to do so by his son.

00:31That was GB's fifth medal of the Games and third silver, with Adam Pitti coming second

00:35in the 100m breaststroke in swimming on Sunday evening.

00:39Pitti, who had won this event in the previous two Games, missed out on defending his title

00:44by two one-hundredths of a second to Italy's Nicolo Marteneghi.

00:49Pitti was emotional afterwards having battled mental health problems since his win in Tokyo.

00:54Britain will now hope to kick on in these Games.
