Team Great Britain is packing its own lunches at the Olympics because the food isn’t “nutritious”

The Olympic Village isn’t serving “nutritious food,” leaving athletes to eat packed lunches instead.

00:05It's such a problem that Team Great Britain has resorted to packed lunches and eating

00:09meals away from the Olympic Village. Andy Anson, chief of the British Olympic Association,

00:14told The Times that the quality of the food needs to be improved dramatically,

00:19and said there aren't enough eggs, chicken, and certain carbohydrates. He also said that

00:24athletes have been served raw meat. Chefs have been tasked with preparing over 13 million meals

00:29and snacks for athletes. And the Paris 2024 committee has a goal of reducing animal

00:34proteins and offering more plant-based options.
