Three vehicle pile-up causes 9km crawl on NSE near Sg Buaya

Traffic at KM441.2 (southbound) of the North-South Expressway (NSE) between Sungai Buaya and Rawang was congested for 9km heading south following a road accident involving two trailers and a car at 7:30am on Tuesday (July 30).

00:19Earlier at 6.02am, the Fire and Rescue Department's Selangor Operations Team received a report
00:25of an accident involving a car, a trailer truck and a container lorry.
00:30The container lorry driver, aged 32, was trapped in the driver's seat and was pronounced dead
00:36at the scene.
00:38He said apart from the container lorry driver, the other two victims, the trailer truck driver
00:43and the Proton Persona driver, rescued by civilians, only sustained minor injuries.
00:49In a post on X, Plus Traffic reported that as of 11.15am, the middle lane northbound
00:56had reopened, but the right lane remains blocked.
00:59The post said the right lane southbound is still closed for clean-up, causing a nine
01:03kilometres traffic jam southbound and slow-moving traffic for one kilometres northbound.
01:09Drivers are advised to use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
