00:38Because of the opening of the Philippine-Japan Friendship Week today,

00:4225,000 jobs were announced to be opened in Japan.

00:46Some of them are from the construction, hospitality, and medical field sectors.

00:52Licensed recruitment agencies are the ones who are struggling here.

00:56We expect that it will be easier because they are already there.

01:00You don't have to go to Makati, Manila, or any other recruitment agency.

01:08They are already there at one-stop shop.

01:11By the way, government agencies are also there.

01:14PhilHealth, Pag-ibig.

01:16They are brave, hardworking, energetic, and happy.

01:20These are just some of the qualities of overseas Filipino workers

01:23that are really desired by Japanese employers, according to the DMW.

01:29It's the third day for the Philippines to have the most workers there,

01:33followed by Vietnam and China.

01:35As of now, more than 300,000 documented Filipinos

01:39are working in Japan in the professional and skilled category.

01:43When the Japanese ambassador to the Philippines, Endo Kazuya,

01:47assures that the OFWs will take care of their country,

01:51Japan shares the same values,

01:54and we are one with the Philippines in ensuring that OFWs obtain decent work.

02:02We mandate that all foreign workers receive the same wages, protections,

02:08and benefits as their Japanese counterparts.

02:12A job fair will be held on August 1 in the Robinsons Galleria.
