00:00Senators considered their $500 million foreign military financing for the Philippines
00:08that was decided by the United States as an allocation for our country.
00:13According to Senate President Francis Escudero,
00:15he thanks America for its help in strengthening our military alliance.
00:21This will show that the two countries are friends and equal partners in the pursuit of peace,
00:28freedom of navigation, and rules-based approach, no matter the differences.
00:33As former Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said,
00:36this partnership between the Philippines and the United States is special
00:40because of our treaty as allies of the country
00:44and equality in the pursuit of democracy and respect for the rule of law.
