00:00Welcome to Buckingham Palace. Thank you very much for coming.
00:04That is cool. That is amazing.
00:06Thank you very much.
00:10This is the blanket. This is the blanket.
00:12Great.
00:14Cool.
00:16Applause.
00:20Hello.
00:22This is for you.
00:24This is for you.
00:26Thank you.
00:28Thank you.
00:30It has gone fantastically well.
00:32We were hugely privileged
00:34for the King to turn up today
00:36and to unveil a plaque
00:38which marks the inscription
00:40of the World Heritage Site
00:42that we have now got, two of them
00:44in fact, in Sutherland.
00:46So very exciting.
00:48And lots of people here who have been part of this bid
00:50which has taken years in the making.
00:52It is not something that happens instantaneously.
00:54So all credit to all of them.
00:56I think he really enjoyed it.
00:58I mean he is very well informed
01:00about this subject.
01:02He was asking some really quite penetrating questions
01:04of the many scientists who are here today
01:06and they all enjoyed it.
01:08I think you got the equivalent of scientific banter
01:10at the highest level which was very special indeed.
01:12I think he really enjoyed the day as much as they did.
01:14It was great.
01:16He is a really interesting person to meet.
01:18He was very knowledgeable about everything that is going on
01:20in the Peatland Restoration and the World Heritage Site.
01:22Yeah, really interesting.
01:24He definitely knew a lot about peatland restoration.
01:26He was talking about the restoration techniques
01:28and the contractors
01:30and all those kind of things that are involved.
01:32So it was interesting to know that he knew
01:34so much in detail about it.
01:36I think it definitely shows
01:38what an impressive and unique landscape we live in
01:40and gives official credit to that.
01:42So that is really exciting to have
01:44and opens up different opportunities
01:46in terms of what that can bring to the area
01:48having World Heritage Site status
01:50and then particularly in the area
01:52that I work in, in peatland restoration
01:54when we are looking to blend public and
01:56private finance and selling
01:58carbon credits with the peatland code
02:00as a way to help scale peatland restoration
02:02in Caithness and Sutherland
02:04working with different landowners
02:06and trying to maximise the benefits of that locally
02:08having the World Heritage Site status
02:10could be more attractive to investors
02:12or buyers of carbon credits
02:14that we are hoping to raise that finance from.
