00:00Freedom was a television series that aired on UPN in the year 2000.

00:05The show introduces us to a world where war ignites in the Middle East, which leads to

00:09an economic downturn in America resulting in mass unemployment and homelessness.

00:14The President of the United States travels extensively to resolve the situation, but

00:19unfortunately, Air Force One crashes and the President is presumed dead.

00:23The United States falls under the control of a military regime that takes over in an

00:27invisible coup, labeling themselves as the regime.

00:31Four military personnel from different sections of the armed services are arrested and later

00:35imprisoned, accused of unknown charges.

00:39One of them reveals that he was ordered to assassinate the President but refused, and

00:43false charges were brought against him.

00:45The four military personnel are later freed by unknown rebels and join hands with a wider

00:49resistance movement against the military government.

00:52Their mission is to restore the Constitution and bring freedom back to the people.

00:57While the show has a certain charm and humor to it, it doesn't come as a surprise that

01:01it was canceled after only seven episodes.

01:04The plot, a basic sci-fi storyline, isn't particularly outstanding, lacking in creativity

01:09and innovation.

01:11Additionally, the budget for the show feels cheap at times, leading to a less than satisfying

01:16viewing experience.

01:18Despite its setbacks, Freedom remains enjoyable in its own way and has some redeemable features

01:23that make it worth watching.

01:24However, I'd recommend not taking it too seriously and just enjoying the ride.
