00:00I have a high-level philosophy for designing overall the costumes for the
00:08Acolyte. My starting point and my inspiration really goes back to when I
00:14had the opportunity to go to Skywalker Ranch and to see Trisha Biggars costumes
00:19was so inspiring, so educational for me. I actually thought it was gonna be more
00:25challenging wearing the same clothing and hair as Osha when playing Mae, but
00:31when it came to the clothes it didn't really matter what the clothes were
00:34because they would just wear them differently on their bodies. We made very
00:38subtle tweaks, me and Jennifer Ryan, our wonderful costume designer.
00:42Maybe he brought you here to face yourself. We need to catch up.
00:46Our costume designer is just unbelievable at the detailed work that she does, the
00:52care and efforts that she puts in behind it. You can find a lot of Easter
00:56eggs built into a lot of the costumes. So the advantage that I had was the
01:00timeline. I wasn't necessarily adhered to a lot of the characters that we know in
01:05Star Wars because in our timeline that gave me a fresh and a cleaner palette.
01:11Jennifer Bryan, our costume designer, she created this beautiful silhouette for the
01:16Stranger. When it moved it was very much just like water. It added to the mystery
01:21of the Stranger and how he was moving and you didn't know what he was.
01:25Who are you?
01:27What I love about costume design is the really wide scope of your imagination
01:34that you just get to use. From ancient times to science fiction and everything
01:39in between, it's just so fun to just like explore all of that and put that into clothing.
