00:15big event today is a lunch, tomorrow we don't know what he's doing, Friday he heads to Delaware.

00:20It lends itself to the appearance that he's done governing.

00:24No, he's not done governing at all.

00:26I think that appearance would be false.

00:27It would be a misled appearance.

00:30I understand the question, but I will say, we were in Austin on Monday.

00:34We were obviously in Texas, we went to Austin, we went to Houston.

00:37He went to pay his respect to the late Congresswoman.

00:40He went to Austin to make a very important announcement as we went back and forth on

00:45this yesterday on SCOTUS reform, which is something that a majority of Americans want

00:49to see.

00:50We got back.

00:51We landed on Marine One on the South Lawn at 1 o'clock in the morning, took some questions.

00:57That was something that he wanted to do.

00:59Took a couple of questions from press.

01:01We were out for about 12 hours.

01:03He continues to meet with his team today, and as I said, you will see him later this

01:08week.

01:09You will hear from him directly later this week.

01:12And I think, again, I'm going to throw Matt Visor here into the conversation.

01:16We are recalibrating.

01:17I mean, that is very true.

01:19I mean, there is a change in just him stepping down for re-election.

01:26He's still very much the president.

01:27And we're trying to figure out what the next six months are going to look like.

01:31But we are committed, the president is steadfast on continuing to build on the unprecedented

01:36record that he has had with the vice president over the last three and a half years.

01:40That doesn't change.

01:41But just give us a beat, and we certainly will be out there.

01:45And the president does want to continue to speak directly to the American people.

01:50You will see him.

01:51Why haven't we heard from him, for instance, on the news unfolding in the Middle East?

01:55We heard from Secretary Blinken, we heard from Secretary Ospin, we heard from the vice

01:58president.

01:59It would be something that ordinarily we would expect to hear from him.

02:05And look, I think when it comes to the Middle East, when it comes to foreign policy more

02:09broadly, this is a president that has a record to stand on when it relates to making sure

02:15we're putting the national security of the American people first.

02:18This is something that he's done, making sure that we re-engage with our allies and also

02:25our partners.

02:26We saw what happened in the La Paz administration.

02:28The president had to fix those relationships, and he did that in the last three and a half

02:31years.

02:32When you think about reinvigorating a NATO, you think about how the people of Ukraine

02:37has what it needs now to defend itself against Russia's aggression so they can fight for

02:42their democracy and freedom.

02:44This is a president that has a long list of foreign policy accomplishments that he's incredibly

02:50proud of.

02:51And when it comes to the Middle East, the president has been incredibly engaged, certainly

02:56from day one of what we have been seeing the developments there over the past just under

03:01a year.

03:02But he's going to continue to do that.

03:04You're going to continue to hear from him, and that will not change.
