00:00After a highly contested presidential election, widely considered to be fraudulent, Venezuelan
00:07President Nicolás Maduro says he is willing to give the official vote tallies to the nation's
00:12highest court.
00:30The statement comes as the United States and countries around the world have been demanding
00:34the official voting data for days, rejecting the official result which declared Maduro
00:39the winner.
00:40The international community, the United States included, is running out of patience on waiting
00:45for Venezuelan electoral authorities to come clean and release a full detailed data on
00:52this election so that everyone can see the results.
00:54The UN, the European Union, regional groups and several of Venezuela's Latin American
01:00neighbors have all disputed the official results.
01:03Exit polls and independent analysts say that it was the opposition, led by Maria Corrino
01:08Machado and her candidate Edmundo González, which won the election in a landslide.
01:16Venezuelans who doubt the official result have protested across the country.
01:21Human rights groups say a police crackdown has resulted in more than 1,000 arrests and
01:25as many as 20 deaths.
01:27That includes a 15-year-old boy, Isaias Fuenmayor, whose family says he was just passing by.
01:48In the capital, Caracas, the streets were calm but tense on Wednesday, with many residents
01:53still feeling anxious.
02:03Along with Maduro's willingness to submit official voting data, he's also called for
02:07investigations into what he is calling the opposition's coup attempt.
02:12Given the level of distrust on the streets and around the world, it's unclear if presenting
02:17evidence this late will appease his critics.
