00:00I think it's disgusting. They should have put that in the manifesto to say that they were
00:12going to cut the winter fuel payment. I rely on that, you know, to exist, to be quite honest.
00:24Well I think that possibly, although I may not particularly agree with all this government
00:29is doing, we have to cut back in some ways. And there are a lot of people getting the
00:34winter fuel allowance who don't really need it.
00:36Agreed.
00:37Well I'm a pensioner, whether I get it or not is an interesting concept, but I do think
00:42what they've done is right. Because over the years, everybody's got that. There are a lot
00:48of people who've got it and just use it as pocket money. The people that needed it, you
00:53know, they don't always get it. So I think what they've done is definitely right. I know
00:58people that are well off and they got it and they put it away. So no, they're right.
01:09I think it should be available for people that are on benefits, basically that need
01:15the support and maybe people that are on higher incomes, less so.
01:21I think it's very bad because we need the warmth. We do need warmth, especially our
01:26future young children. They've got to be kept warm and they've got to be showered.
01:31The fuel bill, I think they ought to do something about the fuel bill.
01:35I think taking the winter fuel payments away is bad because there's lots of pensioners
01:39that don't get pension credits and things that still struggle. And you're taking money
01:44away from the poorest people. It's wrong.
01:47Just feel disappointed. I think it's quite important for pensioners to have a little
01:51bit of help out. We've worked all our life and now at the end of our life, we're taking
01:55all our pleasures away.
