00:29Right away you see both fighters in opposite stances, Olaskagwa, the orthodox fighter,
00:35and Riku Kano is the southpaw.
00:39Now this is the second professional southpaw that Olaskagwa has faced in his seven fight
00:46pro career.
00:49But in talking with Rudy Hernandez, not only one of my favorite trainers in all the game,
00:53but just one of my favorite people, and he said, you know what, Olaskagwa has had over
00:58a hundred rounds, Nico, of sparring southpaws to prepare.
01:01He's also a stable mate of Juto Nakatani, also a southpaw, sparring rounds with him.
01:06Feels very prepared to face this southpaw in his first, or second, excuse me, world
01:10title attempt for a sub-flyweight.
01:13So I would say the biggest thing for Olaskagwa, if he wants to get the win here tonight, he's
01:18going to have to box Kano, because Kano likes to go on the inside.
01:22Kano's an inside fighter, he likes to be a counter-puncher, so Olaskagwa definitely
01:27has to show ring generalship, he's got to just dictate the pace of this fight, and box
01:32him.
01:33Off to a good start there, as he looks to establish that outside foot position.
01:38Kano also challenged for a world title, but at minimum weight, back in 2016, he's coming
01:42up from the lower weight classes.
01:46Olaskagwa challenged at the lower weight class two fights ago, when he fought Kinshiro Taraji
01:50for his first world title opportunity, in a fight that he lost, but it was still an
01:54entertaining fight.
01:55It was kind of a win-win situation for him, right?
01:56In that fight, I mean, he took it on short notice, stepped up, put on a good performance,
02:01good name for himself.
02:02Look, two fights later, you know, one fight later, essentially, he's right back in world
02:06title contention war at his regular weight class now.
02:09Yeah, he's moving fast, some people have careers like that, where they just fight title fights.

05:39Getting a little bit better of rhythm and there's some of the hooks and uppercuts that you see from Olaskaga
05:44working right through that guard.
05:45And those are exactly the shots that they worked on in training camp.
05:48They knew they could work up the middle with how high and wide Cano kind of keeps his guard.
05:56Those inside punches were going to be key.
05:58There's that uppercut and the straight shots is exactly what team Olaskaga was looking for.
06:04You've got someone like Cano. Cano's eager to throw his shots.
06:07Sometimes he gets carried away and you can get caught falling on your punches.
06:16He gets carried away throwing these shots and he's getting hit with these uppercuts
06:19because his chin is over his front foot.
06:26Cano's also a pretty good counter puncher too.
06:28And you'll see him try to counter with that right hook.
06:32Olaskaga is going to make sure to have to get that left hand back up.
