00:00Hi, I'm Kirstie the Sheffield star and I'm here at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
00:04But I will be showing you just some of the dogs that need a new home. Let's go and take a look
00:19This is Obe, Obe
00:22Call me a chick. Wee!
00:25This is Obe, he is lovely, but he's crazy. He's
00:30Thank you. Thank you. He's very loving, very loving. He's
00:36He's not got a bad bone in him at all. He's just he's looking for his forever home now and
00:42He's he's ready for adoption and we're just waiting on
00:46Hopefully soon, he'll be in his nice lovely home
00:50So what is the perfect home for Obe? So Obe just on his own, no other dogs, no other animals
00:56He can be a little bit reactive towards dogs
01:00But it's not it's nothing like aggressive or anything like that. He's just not really had that much socialisation in the past
01:07And then just someone that's going to be there with him spending
01:11all day cuddling him, sat on the settee and just
01:16Living out the rest of his life and his forever home
01:20What does he like to do? Has he got any
01:22favorite pastimes?
01:24Tennis balls
01:25Tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls. He is obsessed with tennis balls and he will
01:30Chase a tennis ball all day until his little legs fall off
01:38Who is this? This is Woody. This is Woody, one of our ex-racers
01:43Woody!
01:45Woody!
01:47You've been camera shy now
01:51So how old is Woody? Woody is two years and two months. So he's just a baby really? He is, he is. A big baby
02:00So, can you tell us a little bit about him, what does he like to do?
02:05He loves food, don't you mate? You're a massive foodie, part hoover at times
02:10He loves, he just loves general affection, that's like his number one thing
02:14But he does like playing with toys, tennis balls, rope toys
02:19But food and cuddles are very high on Woody's list
02:25So what sort of home is Woody looking for?
02:29So ideally someone that is maybe familiar with the breed
02:33And then obviously someone that kind of knows a little bit about like ex-racers
02:38Even though he hasn't raced much, he has come from that sort of background, so all that training
02:44He's had that
02:45But we've not really seen much of that pre-drive in him
02:48But we always like someone to know what they're kind of getting themselves in for when taking on like a sight hound, especially an ex-racer
02:57He does, he does like walking, but Woody is a bit of a couch potato
03:01So he likes one good walk and then he'll clunk out, he'll sleep for the rest of the day
03:07And just relax on like a settee or something like that, that's another one of his things that he loves to do
03:20This is JJ, he's three years and ten months and he's our Terrier cross, he's a Paterdale cross
03:26We don't know what the cross is
03:29But you can definitely see the Paterdale in him
03:33He just loves a cuddle, that's like his main
03:36Are you coming?
03:38Oh, he's here, he's here
03:40He's very, very lovable, aren't you? You don't really bother about toys at all though, do you mate?
03:45You just want to sit on people's knees
03:49Eat everything that they've got, eat all their food
03:55Oh, he's so cute. He's a lovely lad. So what's his ideal home?
04:01Maybe someone that is active, on the more active side, just because he is a Terrier, he's a Terrier cross
04:09And they like to be out and about, adventuring, going all over the place, ain't they?
04:17And someone that is going to obviously spoil him rotten
04:22He's not really shown anything to say that he couldn't live with children
04:28He's been absolutely lovely, he's been good as gold, we've all thank you mate, and he's off
04:40Oh, who is this little lovely?
04:42This is Donut
04:44A perfect name, eh? A perfect name
04:48She is absolutely lovely and full of beans
04:51She's
04:52She is eight and one month, you wouldn't have guessed it, she doesn't act her age, do you? You're silly, you're silly
05:00And she's been with us for
05:0322 days as of today, so she's not been with us for too long either
05:08so with her being obviously a
05:11Bouncy, a bouncy dog
05:13So she could live with children of the age of 12
05:18as long as she's obviously
05:20Not being too silly with the children
05:23and as long as everybody is okay with like her boisterousness, but
05:27Children a little bit older and a little bit more sturdy on their feet because she can be quite boisterous at times, can't you?
05:34Can be quite silly
05:36She's absolutely lovely. I know, I know, we've heard, we've heard
05:40What do you like to do, Donut? She likes to cuddle, she likes to sit on people
05:46You're very nosy at times, aren't you, Sausage? You like to know what everybody's doing all the time
05:51She loves food, so like puzzle feeders. She goes mad for puzzle feeders, Kongs, Licky Mats
05:59She absolutely loves them
06:01Don't you? Yeah
06:04She is looking for her forever home now
06:06So she is up for adoption and feel free if you have seen any of the dogs that have been showed off today
06:13Fill a form out if you do want to come and meet them and then we'll take you from there
06:17Thank you
