Dog Found Hiding In A Box Has The Comfiest House Now
This little dog was found hiding in a cardboard box — so we got him the comfiest new house ❤️ Our producer Chelsi has been working with Fresno Humane Society & Valley Animal Center to spotlight dogs who are in need of forever homes - and when she saw what condition Alejandro was found in, she had to send him a little house.

00:04We found this box and we jokingly were talking about, like, what if that dog is inside?
00:12And when we approached, the dog was inside.

00:23He was taking shelter from the rain and all the elements and did not look like he was
00:27in good shape.
00:29He's in my shelter.
00:31Obviously it's really sad whenever you find a dog in a condition like that, especially
00:35with skin issues and health problems.
00:37They're seeking shelter in trash.

00:45I think he was more just shocked that we were there to help him.
00:50We were really, really gentle when we removed him.
00:54I cannot believe he was in that box.

01:05It's a really scary environment for him to be in, especially a small dog too.
01:09There's a lot of predators out there, coyotes, bigger dogs.
01:15Oh, look at his backside.
01:17Once we got him settled in the truck, got him bundled up in blankets, we gave him some
01:21food and he immediately scarped down.
01:23Obviously he was underweight.
01:26We transported him immediately to our shelter where he was vaccinated, medicated, and then
01:31he went to a rescue called Valley Animal Center.
01:38When Alejandro came into our care, he was extremely timid and afraid of the setting.
01:42But after that initial seven days where I think his skin really started to feel the
01:46relief of the medication, you started to see that kind of puppy mentality come out.
01:50He started to wag his tail when he saw us.
01:53His head would perk up when we entered the room.
01:56He has a lot of spunky characteristics.
01:58He's such a fun dog.
02:00We don't have a lot of dogs that come in with this kind of personality.
02:06When Alejandro was found in the condition in the state that he was in, he found comfort
02:10in a empty cardboard box.
02:13Who knows how long he found comfort in that little box.
02:16But our friends at the Dodo were so gracious enough to send him his own little customizable
02:20dog house where we can add his name.

02:40At first, he was maybe a little unsure.
02:43But once he realized what it was and that it was a safe space for him to feel comfortable,
02:48he truly, I think, felt appreciated by it.

02:56When it comes to Alejandro's future home setting, I really don't think there's a lot of specifics
