00:00In Venezuela, the re-elected president Nicolás Maduro announced that the Venezuelan extreme
00:04right-wing will try to carry out a terrorist act in the mobilization that will take place
00:09on Saturday in an attempt to destabilize the country.
00:12During an official press conference at the Miraflores Palace, the president asserted
00:17that the disqualified political leader María Corina Machado plans to carry out a coup d'état
00:22against the welfare of the people.
00:24In this sense, the Venezuelan head of state also denounced that during the last violent
00:29protests of this week by violent demonstrators, many schools, universities and hospitals were
00:34seriously affected.
00:36Also the re-elected president Nicolás Maduro affirmed that he has already prepared the
00:41intelligence commands and military troops to counteract Saturday's attack by the Venezuelan
00:46extreme right-wing.
00:47I thought it through, because we could be revealing a source of information that we
01:00have been working on, of groups of criminals of the comanditos.
01:11But I must make this denouncement, part of these groups of comanditos, armed with grenades
01:16and other weapons, intend to carry out an attack tomorrow in the area of Belo Monte,
01:29Caracas, among them, brought from Zulia.
01:38Part of these criminals, terrorists of the comanditos of Zulia, they were responsible,
01:43Minister Ceballos, for attacks to the police here, from Olari Square, in San Martin Avenue,
01:55in Petar they brought from there, from outside, from Caracas, there we have two audios and
02:08a chat.
02:09We have given the precise orders for the intelligence, counterintelligence, security and police forces
02:23to protect the greater Caracas and these areas, which are under threat, these criminals are
02:28already being sought.
02:35The Venezuelan head of state condemned U.S. imperialism for conspiring against the country
02:40and attempted to generate a popular social outburst.
02:49We chose the peaceful electoral, dialoguing, democratic way since 1997, Zulia, on April
02:5719, 1997 in Valencia, in the National Plenipotentiary Assembly of the Bolivarian Movement 200, five
03:05hundred delegates and spokesmen of the country, together with Commander Chavez, we voted unanimously,
03:11to go the electoral way, to leave behind the insurrectional way, to go for the peaceful
03:15electoral road, which is our road, it has been and is our road.
03:20In spite of the fact that North American imperialism with its conspiracies has wanted to take us
03:24to the road of an armed popular revolution, they have wanted to take us to an armed popular
03:29revolution, but our road is the constitutional, electoral, peaceful, democratic, dialoguing
03:36road.
03:43In addition, the re-elected president Nicolás Maduro emphasized his rejection of the criminal
03:48ambitions by Venezuelan ultra-right-wing groups that attacked schools and universities in
03:53the country.
03:58In the midst of the criminal ambush on Monday and the criminal ambush on Tuesday, where
04:0212 universities of the country were attacked, 12 universities of the country were destroyed
04:07and burned, including the recently recovered Central University of Venezuela, where 7 schools
04:17of initial education, 21 schools of primary education, 34 high schools were attacked,
04:24you tell me, Mr. Blinken and the government of the United States and the world right,
04:33if attacking universities, schools and high schools are peaceful demonstrators, it is
04:38protests, they were attacked, they were burned, they were destroyed, completely destroyed,
04:43burned in the streets.
04:48In Venezuela, the National Electoral Council issued the second bulletin regarding the July
04:5328 presidential elections reaffirming the victory of President Nicolás Maduro.
04:57On Friday, the president of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, informed the results
05:02of the Venezuelan electoral process with 96.87% of transmission.
05:08The electoral body confirmed the win of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro, candidate of the
05:13Great Patriotic Poll, who achieved 51.95% of the votes after obtaining a total of 6,408,844
05:24votes, while opposition candidate Edmundo González obtained 43.18% with 5,326,104 total
05:33votes.
05:39Nine of the ten former presidential candidates attended the hearing of the Electoral Chamber
05:43of the Supreme Court of Justice as part of the beginning of the investigation, verification
05:48and certification of July 28 elections, the major response to the contentious electoral
05:54appeal presented by the re-elected president Nicolás Maduro, in order to preserve the
05:59constitutional order of the country.
06:01Nine out of the ten former presidential candidates headed the call of the highest court and signed
06:07a document in which they committed themselves to appear as many times as this court deems
06:13necessary as part of the investigation of the electoral process.
06:26With the promulgation of the supreme law of the nation was born what we know today as
06:30the Venezuelan electoral justice system, established in its Article 297 whose central
06:42objective is to protect the exercise of the political rights of the population among which
06:46stand out the right to participation in the right to suffrage established in Articles
06:5762, 63 and 64 of the constitutional text hence the electoral chamber acts within the framework
07:03of the constitutional principles of due process and effective judicial protection to guarantee
07:14access to the mentioned electoral justice system with the application of the regulations.
07:23Claudio Fermin, former presidential candidate for the Soluciones Venezuelan Party, signed
07:27the contentious appeal to investigate, verify and certify the results of the July 28 election.
07:36But I would like to report that the reason for this situation has been the appearance
07:40before the electoral chamber, which has taken it upon itself to collect the minutes and
07:49documents for the verification or final validation of the electoral results. That is what we
07:55have witnessed. It has been a brief act and those present have simply subscribed to our
08:04presence and our information will be aware of the sentence issued by the electoral chamber.
08:11Also the former presidential candidate of the Centrados Party, Enrique Marquez, reaffirmed
08:16his commitment to respect the popular will expressed in the elections of July 28.
08:25From here, I ratify my firm commitment to the constitution of the Bolivarian Republic
08:29of Venezuela. To peace in our country, I ratify my commitment to the popular will expressed
08:41on July 28.
