00:00Two things, first of all is that to create awareness and the other one is what kind of
00:12awareness you want to create, right?
00:16A film festival of this kind in the heart of Delhi, especially in a cultural hub like
00:23Alliance Francais, which had been playing very important roles, bringing art to different
00:30kinds of art, to different kinds of people across the country, because I am also associated
00:37with Alliance Francais in Pondicherry, in Bangalore.
00:44So I think it is important to introduce to all generations, slowly one by one, some generation
00:54had for some reason great exposure to the rural aspects of India, not all rural aspects
01:03of India, India is a country, it's not a country, it's a Mahadesh, it's a continent, and the
01:13complexities of the hinterlands and the rural areas are huge, whatever village square is
01:21doing in association with Alliance is a drop in the ocean, but nevertheless it is a drop.
01:30And it is important to bring the awareness, when I say awareness, just the complexities
01:38of the village life, the variety of the village lives of India, to an urban person who is
01:49busy on the screen all the time, even when they are talking to their parents.
