00:00I think it was just the act of looking at things artistically, looking at things from
00:12deep within, looking at culture from, you know, close quarters and then being able to
00:21document it and put it in a context, a larger context.
00:26I would say even a global context became maybe the starting point and having met and worked
00:32with people like Mr. Satyajit Ray, I could feel what is the importance of being rooted,
00:40of being able to go into your roots and see the art in them.
00:50I think it's a very well-positioned, very well-structured effort and people are going,
00:56making deep inroads into remote areas, trying to find the things that people are now forgetting
01:06how to do, you know.
01:07So the act of remembering things that have been part of your culture in the area of craft
01:17and their whole journey is very interesting and I think very inspiring.
01:21So that's what drew me into this festival and I could also look at sharing what I've been doing.
01:33I think you need a whole different ecosystem to make that genre of cinema powerful and sustainable.
01:43It is now, it's in a very weak situation, you know.
01:50The forces that are creating the counter narrative are too strong, you know.
