00:00A year ago this time, the New York Jets were projected to either finish second or third

00:09They had a high season win total, it was all surrounding the acquisition of Aaron Rodgers.

00:28going to, but for me, and again, I'm not anti-Jets at all, I'm just trying to be pragmatic

00:40I think the Jets will be okay, they can't be any worse at quarterback than they were
00:44last year, it was horrific, but is Rodgers Brady?

01:02Well, it all comes down to Aaron Rodgers.
01:05As you said, he pretty much hasn't played football in two years, right?
01:09Missed three, four, five snaps in game one last year before suffering the Achilles tear.

01:17I don't think they need him to be the Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay, the MVP guy, but they
01:20need him to be at least 80, 85% of that, if not more.
01:26The defense we know is great, right?
01:27It is really, really good.
01:30The offense could be good.
01:31You have Aaron Rodgers, Breece Hall, very good running back, running back one, Garrett
01:37Wilson, wide receiver one.
01:40So it's there.
01:41You don't have much behind Garrett Wilson, you don't really have a tight end that we
01:44want to think about there, and the offensive line is a work in progress, shall we say.
01:49So there are some things to worry about here, but it all goes down to Aaron Rodgers.
01:53I think he could be good, but then again, this guy's a narcissist who's, I love the
01:57way he says, by the way, we can't cause any distractions here, and they didn't show up
02:02for what, mandatory minicamp.
02:04Okay, sure, and this guy is a walking distraction, all right?
02:09So I don't know what we're going to get from him, I don't.
02:11If it's the Aaron Rodgers, if he's 85% of the future Hall of Famer, Jets are going to
02:17be a good team, they're going to be a problem.
02:19If he's less than that, we're talking 70, as you sort of just said, they won six games
02:24last year, they'll be better with Aaron, no doubt, they had no quarterback last year.
02:27That might get him to eight, nine wins, a wildcard consideration there.
02:30So I don't think we all know what we're going to get here.
02:32There is hope, there's a lot of hope in New York, by the way, that Aaron Rodgers is going
02:36to be that guy, but that's normal, that's what the fan base does, right?
02:38There's always hope, no matter who your quarterback is.
02:39Hell, they thought Zach Wilson, oh, he'll figure it out this year, right?
02:43So we'll see, this is a work in progress, but the defense will allow them to be able
02:49to get off to a slow start and still be competitive.
02:52Look at the schedule here, you play San Fran week one, I mean, damn, talk about it, it's
02:57San Fran, by the way, you'll be tested right away at Tennessee, it's no fun either, but
03:00then the schedule gets a little easier, you know, you play New England, Denver, Minnesota
03:04in a three-game stretch, all at home, they play four home games in a row, they play Buffalo
03:08at home as well.

03:14All right, Garrett Wilson is their top guy unless Devante Adams comes to town, again,
03:20that's just been a rumor going on.
03:22I don't know why, but maybe there's something to it.
03:25We know players get traded right before the season begins, every year there's surprises,
03:28so maybe that's in the cards here, but Wilson, without any quarterback last year, essentially
03:34had over 1,000 yards, only three touchdowns because there were no touchdowns to be scored
03:38with the New York Jets, 95 receptions as well, and this is like the one player that, you
03:45know, Brees Hall can't go much higher in fantasy, but Wilson can, and you would think that if
03:50Rodgers is healthy, as you're saying, and he has an 85% Rodgers season, we're going
03:55to be seeing Garrett Wilson being drafted in the first round of fantasy next year.
03:59Yeah, although next year, will Rodgers still be there?

04:05You know, that would be, I don't know if Rodgers wants to be here, and if the Jets don't do
04:10well, maybe Rodgers moves on, I don't think he's going to retire, this is going to run
04:13for VP again, and all that ridiculousness, but you know, Lazard, they say he's having
04:19a good training camp, and once again, he does seem to have something with Darren Rodgers,
04:25maybe that'll work out here.
04:26Lotus, he was a complete zero last year.
04:29Mike Williams, on the PUP, I don't think we're going to see the true Mike Williams until
04:34maybe next year, he'll come back to the ACL, that just takes a long time to really become
04:38yourself again, and Brees Hall, this team is going to rely on Rodgers, Brees Hall, and
04:43Garrett Wilson.
04:44If any one of them go down or are not themselves this year, I don't see what's happening for
04:49the Jets here.
04:50This is really a three-man offense team, they need to stay healthy, they need to be productive,
04:53these guys here.
04:54I love Garrett Wilson, I think I have him at 8th overall in my personal rankings, I
04:59think that's about right.
05:00Could he get higher?
05:01Sure, but I don't know if I'm going to put him over, he's not going to get to A.J.
05:03Brown territory, I don't see that happening, so I think he's slotted correctly there, I
05:07think he will have a big season here, but like I said, he's going to see a lot of double
05:11coverage, he's seeing the number one cornerback for every team, every team is putting number
05:16one or rolling the coverage his way, he's going to see that, let's see what he can do.
