00:11couples in May-December romances. We'll be considering how well-known the celebs are and
00:16how big the age gap is. We won't be taking into account couples where one or both people have
00:21passed away. I've never had love like that before. No one has ever loved me and done things for me.
00:2730. Courtney Cox and Johnny McDade, 12 years
00:33How many couples can say they were introduced by Ed Sheeran while partying with Taylor Swift?
00:38Well, kind of. On Sundays I have people over and we have a mutual friend who introduced us,
00:43brought Taylor over and Johnny and Gary and that's how we met.
00:47Cox started dating singer Johnny McDade shortly after her divorce from David Arquette was
00:51finalized in 2013. Just six months later, the two got engaged, but they broke it off
00:57about a year after that. We went to this therapist to talk about our boundaries,
01:01what we could and couldn't accept about each other and there was that acceptance.
01:05Instead, he just broke up within the first minute and I was like, what? And we were engaged and I
01:12was so shocked. However, by spring of 2016, the actor and rock star were back together again.
01:19Although Cox lives in the U.S. and McDade lives in London, they managed to make the
01:23long-distance relationship work with frequent visits and plenty of Zoom dates.
01:27Distance, after that breakup, we were apart for six months. That really
01:31showed us a lot and it's just better. I mean, it's expensive. I mean,
01:34that's an expensive relationship. I'm going Thursday, yeah. We go back and forth a lot.
01:3829. Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 14 years
01:43These two actors were both married to other people when they met on the set of the TV show Fargo.
01:47McGregor played a parole officer and Winstead played the parolee he's dating.
01:51Technically, we're not supposed to be, you know, dating. And I'm saying it's mission
01:56critical to keep that a secret. Because when it comes to signing official forms,
01:59I mean, talk about showing your cards.
02:02Their fictional relationship must have led to real-life sparks, because the two announced
02:07their separation from their respective spouses in May of 2017 and soon began dating each other.
02:13They had a son in 2021 and finally tied the knot in 2022.
02:18The pair has continued working together over the years, appearing opposite each other in

02:39Believe it or not, when Notaro and Allen met on the set of In a World,

02:56The two bonded over their shared sense of humor and began texting each other for hours at a time.
03:01By late 2015, they were married and had twin sons the following year. It turns out that
03:07marriage and parenthood are ripe sources of comedy for Notaro's stand-up routine.
03:11Like many other couples on this list, the two have continued working together,
03:15with Allen directing Notaro's latest special.
03:18It's starting to feel like life is kind of normal again because we're getting sleep and
03:25we're going out and socializing. We went to a movie premiere, got home at 11. It was a big night.

03:36This pair managed to keep their relationship a secret for over a year before going public in
03:40November 2022. They got married in an extremely private ceremony in September 2023 in the midst
03:47of Evans' year-long hiatus from acting.

03:53I had an opportunity to do, there were two opportunities.
03:56We can understand why they'd want to stay out of the public eye.
03:59Plenty of internet commentators have been critical of Evans for dating a much younger woman,

04:1726. Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates, 16 years
04:21Many people might be surprised to learn that these two are a couple,
04:24since Cates has mostly stayed out of the public eye since the early 90s.
04:28But they've actually been married since 1989.
04:31No, if you'd been in here, I would have known about it.
04:34People would have talked about it. Like, uh, hey Joy,
04:37you see what was in here the other night? My God, what a beauty.
04:40Cates and Kline met in 1983 when Cates was auditioning for The Big Chill.
04:45They began dating two years later, and the rest is history. The two appeared in a couple of
04:50films together before Cates stepped away from the spotlight to raise their family. However,
04:54in 2001, the pair teamed up on screen again, along with their kids,
04:58for the small dramedy The Anniversary Party.

05:35whom he'd started dating when she was just 18. Jessica, on the other hand, had just gotten
05:40married and recently returned from her honeymoon. The two began dating,

05:59Number 24. Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, 20 years
06:04Hadid must have a thing for older actors who have a thing for younger women.
06:07Shortly after her romance with Leonardo DiCaprio,
06:10the supermodel was spotted spending time with another man 20 years her senior.

07:56That said, she's already over 25, the age at which DiCaprio tends to move on from his girlfriends.
08:02Once upon a time in Hollywood, nearly three hours long,
08:05Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere, and by the end, his date was too old for him.
08:10She might not have been born when Titanic was released,
08:13but the two seem to find plenty of things to talk about when they're spotted together in public.

08:34You might be worried that a 70-year-old man who marries a contortionist 30 years
08:39younger than him has bitten off more than he can chew.
08:41But to be fair, he's not just any 70-year-old man.
08:45He's Jeff Goldblum.
08:46He and Emily Livingston met at the gym,
08:48where we can imagine the Olympic gymnast caught a lot of people's eyes.
08:52Goldblum had the courage to shoot a shot, and Livingston fell for him.
09:10Now, the pair have been married a decade and have two kids together.
09:14It's actually really romantic when you think about it.
09:19Number 20. Elton John and David Furnish, 15 years
09:32If we learn anything from Elton and David's love story, it's that if you're single,
09:36you shouldn't hesitate to accept an invitation to a dinner party
09:39because you might just meet the love of your life.
09:42That's what happened to Furnish when he agreed to be a friend's plus one
09:45to a dinner party at Elton John's place in London in October of 1993.
09:50David and John hit it off immediately,
09:52and obviously the 15-year age difference didn't bother either of them
09:55as David returned the next night for a one-on-one meal with the Rocket Man.
09:59The couple has basically been together ever since,
10:02creating a civil union in 2005 and getting married in 2014,
10:06a few months after same-sex marriage was legalized in Great Britain.
10:11Number 19. Hilary Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 16 years
10:21In May of 2009, a soon-to-be 27-year-old Hilary Burton
10:26and a just-turned-43-year-old Jeffrey Dean Morgan
10:29were introduced by their mutual friends Jensen Ackles and Danielle Harris.
10:33Danielle was Hilary's former co-star on One Tree Hill,
10:36and Jensen had worked with Jeffrey on Supernatural.
10:40Well, as it turns out, sometimes your friends do know what's best for you.
10:47And these two didn't waste any time consummating their relationship either,
10:51as Morgan hinted on Instagram in May of 2021,

10:57In fact, two kids later, 1-11, do that math.
11:02They were happy then, and they still are now.

11:09Number 18. Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz, 16 years
11:13As with many of the couples on this list, Klum and Kaulitz hit it off right away.
11:18They first met while Klum was in her home country of Germany,
11:21hosting Germany's Next Top Model.
11:26Kaulitz, the guitarist for the German rock band Tokyo Hotel,
11:30is, well, also German.
11:32And that connection turned out to be just one of many things these lovebirds had in common.
11:37As one source told Us Weekly,

11:42One thing they don't have in common is their age.
11:45When Kaulitz was born in September of 1989,
11:48Klum had recently turned 16.
11:51But as Klum told InStyle,

12:07Number 17. Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell, 37 years
12:18It's true that they have an age gap of well over three decades.
12:22But since Sir Patrick Stewart hasn't aged since the late 80s,
12:25they really shouldn't even qualify for this list.
12:27All jokes aside,
12:28the pair has a sense of humor about their age difference,
12:31and they don't seem phased by other people's opinions.
12:37They met while Ozell was waitressing and Stewart was performing in Macbeth,
12:47and tied the knot in 2013,
12:49with Stewart's longtime friend Ian McKellen officiating.
12:52These days, when they're not working,
12:54they spend their free time fostering shelter dogs
12:56and looking stunning together on red carpets.
12:58Talk about relationship goals.
13:07Number 16. David Cross and Amber Tamblyn, 19 years
13:12Did you hear the one about the young actress
13:14who hung out with the comedian 19 years older than her on a plane and fell in love?
13:18While you might think this was a setup to a David Cross comedy sketch,
13:21it's actually how he met his beautiful wife,
13:24actress and writer Amber Tamblyn.
13:26Cross has said that despite having seen one another around LA,
13:30he was, quote,
13:31"...slow to make any moves because of our age difference."
13:37But you also can't fight true love,
13:41and Cross has also said that from the moment they met on that plane,
13:45it was, quote,
13:46"...so obvious they would eventually be together."
13:48And they did eventually start dating,
13:51get married,
13:52and have a child together,
13:53which we assume means that Tobias got over that never-nude thing.
14:01Number 15. Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoy, 39 years
14:05Unlike most of the other people on our list,
14:07Savoy isn't in the entertainment industry.
14:10A mutual friend introduced her to Quaid in 2019 when she was a PhD student,
14:14and Quaid says it was love at first sight.
14:29They got married just a year later.
14:31According to Quaid,
14:32the couple barely even noticed the nearly four-decade age difference.
14:36Now, she's a certified public accountant with multiple degrees in finance.
14:41Savoy and Quaid might not be able to bond over their jobs,
14:44but they do connect over their shared Christian faith,
14:47which plays an important role in their relationship.
14:50God is in the relationship, for one thing,
14:52which I've never had a relationship like that before.
14:56And she's super smart and she's very deep.
15:00I mean, we just have fun together. We do.
15:02Number 14. Dick Van Dyke and Arlene Silver, 46 years
15:06Van Dyke loves to tell the story of how he met his much younger wife.
15:21And like Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell,
15:23Van Dyke and Silver clearly have a sense of humor about the whole age thing.
15:27You kind of have to when all four of your kids are considerably older than your wife.
15:36Silver or Van Dyke.
15:38Despite their age difference,
15:39the two seem to have a genuinely sweet and wholesome relationship.
15:42They were friends for several years before things got romantic,
15:45though it's pretty obvious that Van Dyke was smitten with Silver from the start.
15:49He might be old enough to be her grandfather, but they're both young at heart.
15:53Number 13. Alec Baldwin and Ilaria Baldwin, 26 years
15:59It sounds like the IMDb summary of a romantic comedy.
16:02A soon-to-be 53-year-old man is having dinner with a friend
16:05when he sees a beautiful girl.
16:07Sure, she's 26 years younger than him,
16:09but that doesn't stop him from walking up to her and telling her,
16:12I must know you.
16:13He gives her his number and less than a year and a half later,
16:16they're married in New York City.
16:18Well, it isn't a movie, but the man in the story is a movie star.
16:25The man was Alec Baldwin and the woman was the soon-to-be Ilaria Baldwin.
16:29The couple is still going strong and have added six kids to the mix as well.
16:36Number 12. Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, 25 years
16:53It's a tale as old as time.
16:55You're in Ibiza, you're having a good time at Kanye West's party
16:58for fashion designer Ricardo Tisci's 40th birthday,
17:01and you happen to notice the momager slash mogul of the Jenner-Kardashian empire.
17:06She's about 25 years your senior,
17:08but you get to chatting and a few months later, you're a couple.
17:11Come on, who can't relate to that?
17:13Okay, so no one except Corey Gamble can.
17:15And while many in her family weren't too sure about him and the relationship,
17:20Jenner was and has remained so, which is all that matters, right?
17:31Number 11. George Clooney and Amal Clooney, 17 years
17:48George Clooney was one of Hollywood's great bachelors.
17:51That was true until July of 2013 in Lake Como, Italy,
17:55when he met the brilliant and beautiful Amal Alamuddin.
17:59But while there was a pretty immediate attraction on Clooney's end,
18:03the Ocean's Eleven star was a little unsure about how Amal felt towards him,
18:07because of the age gap, as he told Howard Stern.
18:17Obviously, she didn't or she really likes grandpas because in October,
18:21they reportedly had their first date and in April of 2014,
18:25their engagement was confirmed.
18:27Well done, grandpa!
18:29Number 10. Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 23 years
18:34In 2008, Aaron auditioned for the film Nowhere Boy.
18:38The film was Samantha's directorial debut and when Aaron walked in,
18:42she found the leading man in the film and in her life.
18:48And while a 23-year age gap might seem like a big deal to some,
18:52Aaron told The Telegraph UK that quote,
18:55When I met Sam, I'd already lived a life far beyond that of most of my contemporaries.
19:00I didn't relate to anyone my age.
19:02Now, while the connection was intense,
19:05the actor and director kept things very professional during the making of the movie.
19:16They still had not been on a date or kissed when the film wrapped,
19:20but the moment they were done, Aaron told Sam he was going to marry her.
19:24Number 9. Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 20 years
19:29We'd love to tell you how these two met, but we don't know.
19:33Some reports have them meeting at Coachella,
19:35while others put it on the set of Transformers Dark of the Moon.
19:41We do know that it was in 2010 and while the 20-year age gap did raise some eyebrows,
19:47Rosie has said that they quote,
19:49have a connection that has nothing to do with age.
19:51For those curious about wedding bells,
19:53Rosie has said that she believes in marriage but quote,
19:56being in a happy relationship is much more important to me.

20:14Number 8. Elliot Spencer and Stephen Fry, 30 years
20:22Comedian, actor and writer Stephen Fry has been a staple of the British comedy scene
20:27since the 1980s. And speaking of the 80s, his husband Elliot Spencer was born in said decade,
20:341987 to be exact, which was the same year that Fry turned 30.
20:39But even though Stephen had found lots of professional happiness,
20:42personal happiness wasn't as evident until he met Elliot in 2012.
20:47As you may have expected, there were some shocked onlookers given the age gap between these two.
20:52But as you also probably expected, Spencer shot back at the haters, saying quote,
20:57I don't care what people think, Stephen is the love of my life, the light of my life.
21:06Number 7. Ben Kingsley and Daniela Lavender, 31 years
21:11From Gandhi to a sexy beast, Ben Kingsley has played many roles over his long and
21:19illustrious professional career. And the same is true for his private life,
21:27in which he has played the role of husband four times, including his marriage to Daniela Lavender,
21:32which began in 2007 when he was 63 and she was 32.
21:37While the 31-year age difference is a lot, it isn't new to Kingsley,
21:41who in the 90s dated Kate Townsend, an actress who was 30 years his junior.
21:46They dated, but no, she is not one of his three ex-wives.
21:50Number 6. Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, 21 years
21:54If you thought George Clooney was one of the great bachelors, let us tell you that his
21:59bachelorhood does not hold a candle to one of the all-time most iconic Hollywood bachelors,
22:05Warren Beatty. In fact, Carly Simon, who has said that the second verse of her famous song
22:10You're So Vain is about Beatty, when talking about having dated the famous actor,
22:14followed it up with, quote, hasn't everybody? And that was very true, until he met Annette
22:27Bening for lunch to prepare for their co-starring roles in 1991's Bugsy.
22:35And that was it. The 50-something-year-old Beatty had found his perfect someone in the
22:4330-something-year-old Bening, and his bachelor days were over. They were married in 1992.
22:50Number 5. Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, 22 years
22:54Sure, the odds are really low that someone who's never seen the original Star Wars movies would end
22:59up married to the man who played Han Solo in those films, but you know how Han feels about odds.
23:06Yeah, it's true. Calista Flockhart had not seen the films when they first met,
23:10and as she told Jimmy Kimmel, she had no idea what a Millennium Falcon was for quite some time.
23:21But that and the 22-year age difference were no match for the true love that started to
23:25bloom between these two when they first met at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards.
23:30According to Calista, she even sometimes forgets how big the age gap between them is,
23:34telling Hello! Magazine, quote,
23:36it doesn't factor into our relationship at all.
23:40Number 4. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 25 years
23:45Douglas and Zeta-Jones share a love for each other and a birthday. Yep, Michael and Catherine
23:50were born on the exact same day, September 25th, just 25 years apart. We don't know if that amazing
23:56coincidence has anything to do with it, but the Traffic co-stars have remained one of the
24:00strongest couples in Hollywood since meeting all the way back in 1998 after seeing her in
24:06The Mask of Zorro. Douglas, like pretty much everyone else in the world, wanted to meet
24:12Zeta-Jones. But unlike the rest of us, what Michael Douglas wants, he often gets, and this
24:18was no exception. They ended up meeting thanks to being introduced by a fellow actor while they
24:28were both in Europe for a film festival. They were married in 2000.
24:33Number 3. Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, 26 years
24:50One of Stewart's biggest hits, Maggie Mae,
24:52was based on his experience of losing his virginity to an older woman.
24:59And while his first time was with an older woman, he has spent the years since 1999 with a woman 26
25:07years his junior, whom he met when she accepted a dare from her mates to request an autograph
25:12from the singer. Penny was in her late 20s at the time, and was studying photography. The next night,
25:18she found herself invited to a show to take pictures of Rod. Stewart got her phone number,
25:23but didn't call her for six months, allegedly because it was too soon after the breakup of
25:28his last marriage. Penny and Rod eventually tied the knot in 2007.
25:35Number 2. Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor, 32 years
25:39Paulson and Taylor started dating in 2015, 10 years after they first met. And no, this wasn't
25:46one of them playing the long game or trying to get out of the friend zone. This was two people
25:50meeting at a party and being attracted to each other. As the Marsha Clark actress told the New
25:56York Times, Taylor was quote, probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman she'd ever seen.
26:02But both women were in relationships at the time. So that was that. Cut to 10 years later,
26:08they meet again, they're both single, and they start following each other on Twitter.
26:12And anyone who thinks that older people don't understand social media should know that it was
26:17Taylor, then in her early 70s, who first slid into Paulson's DMs.

27:07first met during her run on the show when the 22-year-old performed Whitney Houston's I Have
27:11Nothing, a song that Foster wrote. Even though there are over 35 years between them, this meeting
27:20led to a great friendship. And Foster even played piano at McPhee's wedding when she married Nick
27:26Kokos in 2008. McPhee filed for divorce in 2014, and she and David were spotted getting cozy in
27:32public in 2017, right around the time that his fourth divorce was being finalized. McPhee and
27:38Foster married in 2019 and had their first child together two years later.
