00:00Well, criminal violence and disorder has no place on Britain's streets.
00:06We've been clear to the police that they have our full backing
00:10in taking the strongest possible action against perpetrators,
00:14including when making sure that there are more prosecutors,
00:18there are sufficient prison places and also that the courts stand ready
00:23because anyone who engages in this kind of disorder
00:26needs to be clear that they will pay the price.
00:29For everyone to be clear, anyone who gets involved in criminal disorder,
00:34violent thuggery on our streets will have to pay the price
00:38and they should expect there to be arrests, prosecutions, penalties
00:42and the full force of the law including imprisonment, travel bans and more.
00:47The bottom line here is we cannot stand for this kind of thuggery
00:51or criminal disorder on our streets.
00:53Communities have a right to feel safe
00:56and that is why I think the police will have everyone's backing
00:59in making sure that they can take the action that is needed.
