00:00Well the criminal violence and thuggery that we saw in some of our towns and
00:06cities over the weekend was a total disgrace. I've made clear to the police
00:11they have our full support in pursuing the full range of prosecutions and
00:15penalties. There has to be a reckoning for that criminal violence. We've already
00:19put in place additional prosecutors and the courts are standing ready and the
00:24COBRA meeting this morning will be drawing together all of the work that is
00:28needed to make sure that the criminal justice system is ready to respond and
00:32that they really do face the full force of the law. Well there have been hundreds
00:37of arrests already but there will be more. It's important that those who were
00:42involved in this disorder and criminal violence know that they now, instead of
00:48thinking they're going off on their summer holidays, should be facing arrest
00:52and prosecution and a police cell as a result of the things that they've done.
