00:00The Christian Federation of Malaysia has expressed concern over a video showing a small group
00:08of people promoting a free Bible course next to a surau in Melaka.
00:14In a statement, CFM said no individual associated with its component bodies was involved in
00:20the incident.
00:22The federation said it supports calls for authorities to investigate the matter and
00:26take lawful action to maintain religious harmony in the country.
00:31In the video, a group of individuals can be seen with leaflets stacked on a trolley next
00:36to a surau and a sign saying Free Bible Course.
00:40Yesterday, Melaka Police Chief Zainul Sama said they had received four reports on the
00:45incident, which happened near the Stod Hash in Bandar Hilay on July 27.
00:51On Thursday, the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism
00:56and Taoism also criticised the group, saying such actions were very wrong.
