00:00I was screaming myself.
00:25I'm so glad I was expecting the Jamaicans to do better, but it's even better for
00:29St. Lucia, and Dominica just won the triple jump as well, so it's so good.
00:34The smaller Caribbean countries are doing so well.
00:37For us, my daughter's name is Lucy, so she had already declared St. Lucie as her country,
00:44and to see her win was wonderful for us.
00:47It's true that she crushed all the competition, especially the Americans, who were favorites,
00:53yet.
00:54So it was very strong.
00:56I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm still grateful that I'm here, and the girls still did well.
01:01Not sure what happened to Shelly and Fraser Price, but still happy.
01:05I wish her the best.
01:07It was quite shocking that Shelly didn't perform, seeing that she's been running since 2004.
01:12I came all the way from Jamaica, a Jamaican, to see Shelly, so I'm kind of disappointed,
01:16but I know things happen.
01:18Love and Filipinas!
01:20Love and Filipinas!
01:22Love and Filipinas!
01:24It means a lot.
01:25It's a national pride for us.
01:26This is the second gold medal for the Philippines in its 100 years participating in the modern
01:32Olympics.
01:33So this is truly, truly special.
01:36Truly special for the Philippines.
01:37Woo!
01:38Yay!
01:39What makes it even sweeter is he was the 2019 world champion, and in 2020, he did not make
01:47it to finals.
01:48But this year, he made it to finals, and he won gold!
01:51Yay!
01:52Amazing!
01:53I was crying.
01:55You know what?
01:56We've traveled half the world to come here, and to see the Philippines, to hear the Philippine
02:00national anthem played there was just unimaginable.
02:04I can't believe it would happen in my lifetime, and it wouldn't happen on this trip, but it
02:08did.
02:09I was praying to God that I cannot leave Paris without Philippines winning gold, and it happened.
02:14So I'm very, very thankful, and very proud of Kaloyulo.
02:18Woo!
02:19Merci beaucoup!
02:20Woo!
