00:00Let's move on now to the National League Triple Crown.
00:07We'll talk Shohei Ohtani.
00:08And if you like big numbers, I've got some for you.
00:10Shohei Ohtani to win the National League Triple Crown will return you nearly 9 to 1, plus
00:15870.
00:16The answer, though, would be no at minus 2200.
00:19So the book is already answering the question, but I'd like to hear from Joe.
00:23Thoughts?
00:24I think this is actually a fun one.
00:27Why can't he?
00:28Especially with that kind of return.
00:29I look at this one and I say, well, yeah, let's try to make that happen.
00:34So he's at 33 home runs right now, currently.
00:36So the only guy that's really in the 30s right now is Marcelo Zuna at 32.
00:40So that is very close, granted.
00:42Looking at the RBI total, that's one where Ohtani is also behind right now, Marcelo Zuna
00:4886 to 79.
00:51But I don't think that's an impossible amount.
00:53That's one big hot streak, one cold streak for Ozuna, hot streak for Ohtani.
00:56So I think we're kind of in that range.
00:58The other one that becomes very tricky is the batting average.
01:01Shohei Ohtani is at 309, Luis Arias is at 306, Quetel Marte is at 302.
01:06So we're getting a little tight there.
01:08So really, this just comes down to does Shohei Ohtani finish the season with a huge flourish?
01:12If he does, look at the return.
01:15I would say this is worth a unit just to speculate, because when you're getting eight to one on
01:19something, it's certainly something I think you want to pay attention to, because it's
01:23not like it's absurd that the best player in the National League can be the best player
01:28in the National League for the last two months of the season on a team that has their sights
01:31set on a World Series, and he recognizes historical things.
01:35He is a guy that shows up when big moments happen.
01:38Him knowing this statistically, he's on the line, he imagines another feather in his cap,
01:42a guy that can win MVPs, a guy that could win Cy Youngs, a guy that can win triple crowns.
01:47That's pretty incredible.
01:48So even if we talk about Babe Ruth and how great he was back in the day, back when Matt
01:53was a kid watching Babe Ruth, think about this.
01:56Think about what you're watching in front of us right now.
01:58A guy who's good enough to win the MVP, the Cy Young, and maybe a triple crown, that is
02:03an incredible baseball talent that I think sometimes we still don't realize just how
02:09lucky we are to be witnessing this.
