00:00Going into the weekend, the government remains in a state of high readiness.
00:04The Prime Minister chaired a COBRA meeting only last night in which he sent out a message that
00:10there can be no let up in our approach. That means that the criminal justice system will
00:16continue to process people quickly and indeed we've seen within days prison sentences of up to
00:24three years handed down to people for violent disorder that happened only days before and
00:29secondly we will continue to have on a state of high alert those thousands of specialist
00:36police officers available to be deployed up and down the country both as a visible presence but
00:42also to reassure communities. So we go into the weekend with the government doing all it can to
00:46keep people safe.
