00:00The groups supporting the POV Modernization Program marched to Malacañang to oppose the resolution to suspend the implementation of the POV Modernization Program.
00:09This is the breaking news of Joseph Morong.
00:18The unity walk of the groups in favor of the POV Modernization Program did not stop.
00:23From Quezon City, they marched to Manila to condemn the resolution of almost all of the Senators to suspend the program again.
00:31They were stopped by the police near Malacañang, but they were allowed to proceed.
00:36In spite of the resolution, President Bongbong Marcos himself said that the implementation of the program will continue.
00:43He told me that we will send to the Senate all the studies that we did, what the previous administration did, what we did, and we will continue the program.
00:57That is the standing instruction for us as a position.
01:01This is not binding to the Executive. The Executive orders us, led by the President and the Baptist Church, to continue the program.
01:15They also promised to resolve the parts that have issues, such as consolidation and the phase-out of the traditional jeeps.
01:23The Manibela group, which is not allowed in some parts of the PUVMP, said that they have no case.
01:28The modernized jeepneys are locally manufactured.
01:32Local manufacturers are not allowed to issue a Certificate of Compliance. Do they have one already?
01:42As of now, their march will continue because they were not given a shock or soldier to cancel their franchise.
01:50For JMA Integrated News, I am Joseph Morong, and that is the latest news you need to know.
