00:00Royals lost yesterday at home 9-5 against the Red Sox. Boston has won five of its last seven. KC,
00:06six of its last eight. Both teams battling for that third and final American League wild card
00:11spot. The Royals still hold a game and a half advantage over Boston. Seth Lugo gets the start
00:17tonight for KC. Minus 130 on the money line. Total is eight and a half. What's the play in
00:23this Midwest matchup? It's going to be a good one. I do think this one's closer to a coin flip
00:28typically to what we saw yesterday. I actually think Kansas City should have won, but they
00:31didn't because the bats for the Red Sox certainly were hot. But what a difference a day makes here,
00:35Ben. We were talking about 90-degree temperatures and the wind blowing out yesterday. Now we're
00:39talking about 70-degree temperatures. Not 70, but mid-70s at that point, but the wind blowing in
00:43nine miles an hour, which could have an effect here. You take a look at Seth Lugo over the past
00:4760 days, an 84 XFIT minus number, but a 3.14 ERA. So those two numbers match up. Brian Bayo,
00:53take a look at this. A 93 XFIT minus, which is above average for a pitcher,
00:58but an ERA coming in at close to six. So sort of pitching and getting a little bit
01:03unlucky at this point. So let's just say those analytical numbers do hold true.
01:07Why not take Boston at a slight price point here as a dog?
