00:00Hey baby.
00:02I see her running across the street.
00:05Come here baby. Come here.
00:07I ended up calling my mom and we sat for about another 30 minutes just trying to kind of trap her.
00:12She was so matted to the core. She looked so much like my dog.
00:17I had never rescued a dog myself before so I didn't really know what I was getting myself into.
00:23Once I got there and kind of interacted and sat with her for a little bit, I knew she wasn't going to hurt me or anything.
00:29I didn't really have an issue keeping her for a little bit.
00:32She wouldn't go outside to go to the bathroom.
00:34We would carry her out there.
00:36You had to walk her around the yard and she wouldn't leave your side.
00:41And they got her groomed and completely shaved.
00:43It's heartbreaking to see how fearful Noah was.
00:46Can you tell me more about her early days?
00:49For the first few days she just absolutely wouldn't move.
00:52Her biggest coping mechanism initially was just hiding with my closet.
00:57She was extremely timid.
01:01Didn't know how to trust anybody.
01:06At first my dog Navy was like, who is this and why is she here?
01:11Noah didn't really have any interest in my dog.
01:14She would sniff her a little bit but that's kind of the extent.
01:18About two weeks after I found her, I thought we were making some pretty good progress.
01:22Just showing that she wanted to interact a little more.
01:28The first really big breakthrough she had,
01:32when I picked her up at my mom's after being away for a week
01:35and I opened the door, she came running out wagging her tail.
01:38And we got so close.
01:45But she backed off.
01:48But that was kind of the start of it all.
01:50And then slowly but surely I started noticing some huge milestones.
01:53She was learning to just be a dog.
01:57I knew at this point I was keeping her.
02:03A majority of her progress has been letting her do things on her own time.
02:10And now she's obsessed with my dog Navy.
02:14Just like healing her and her puppy.
02:18Nothing really could have prepared me for her biggest challenge.
02:21Just like healing her and her puppy.
02:25Nothing really could have prepared me for her biggest milestone.
02:28When I came home, she greeted me and she didn't run away.
02:35Foster feeling Noah was probably the best decision I've ever made.
02:45Saving her has been a fulfilling experience and it makes me happy to know she'll now have a lifetime of joy.
