00:00When you made the trade, the organization made the trade, did you ever think that you'd
00:09be sitting here two weeks at the camp and Redick wouldn't be able to practice with you?
00:15I guess it doesn't matter what I thought at the time, you know, but reality is he's not
00:20here, but there are, like I said, a bunch of guys who are, who are working their tails
00:23off and, you know, Will McDonald, like I said, is getting a lot of reps that he otherwise
00:29wouldn't have gotten and for it, he's, he's been improving it every day.
00:33For you as a coaching staff, not having that hands-on time with him, will that make it
00:38harder if it does linger on to kind of prepare for week one and how do you, you know, accept
00:44that challenge or manage it?
00:46Always, we always, you know, there's players come and go all the time and are, unfortunately,
00:52you're always having to make adjustments on the fly, but I'll say it again, that's the
00:58it's not the easiest position, but the last position that I'm worried about getting caught
01:03up to speed.
01:04I mean, honestly, Joe, Hassan Redick will start the minute he's on that football field.
01:13It's the most Jets thing in the world.
01:15You trade for this guy and what was your plan to make sure when you were in camp, you were
01:21still negotiating with him?
01:22Like, what are you doing?
01:24You knew he wasn't going to play unless you gave him a new deal.
01:27So it's yes.
01:29The minute he gets his deal, he will be inserted no matter what week it is.
