00:00The local government of Cavite is asking for more than P10 million for each day that the life of those affected by the oil spill is at risk from Mt. Terranova in Limay, Bataan.
00:13Cavite Governor John Vic Remulia is in debt of P350 per day of income of 31,000 fishermen and traders who rely on the sea for their livelihood.
00:27Remulia has already helped the people of Mt. Terranova and the International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund, a partner of DANYOS.
00:37But even if they pay, the owners of the tanker will still be held accountable.
00:42The Department of Justice is also investigating if Mt. KR Terranova is included in the illegal shipping of oil by ships to avoid paying taxes.
