00:09But Freddo wasn't always like that.

00:14He had been living the majority of his life in and out of shelters.
00:21He was showing large amounts of aggression towards other dogs.
00:25I found out how to go up my hand and tried to grab my wrist.
00:27I pulled away just in time.
00:29He was very untrusting of people.
00:32In his mind, people meant nothing to him
00:34because they just kept abandoning him.

00:40I had to show him that I wasn't scared of him
00:43and I wasn't going to run away from him
00:45like he had experienced previous humans in his life.
00:51He kind of respected that
00:53and that's where our relationship started to grow.
00:55We became best mates after that.
00:58You're being a good boy now.
01:02I introduced my family.
01:04He's a very gentle, isn't he?
01:06He just adopted them straight away
01:09and just said, these are your people, no problem, they're my people.
01:14When I started introducing him to other dogs,
01:18he needed that relationship with me.
01:20It's pretty distracting, isn't it?

01:25It was quite a big step for Freddo to walk through a big pack of dogs
01:30and not take offence to any of the other dogs.
01:34As soon as I could get him to have a little bit of self-control like that,
01:37he just really didn't look back.

01:42No one has come forward and said that they'll provide a home for Freddo.
01:47We really wanted someone to come forward
01:50and we ended up finding him the perfect home.
01:52So we decided to surprise him.
01:55We got him up early.
01:56Hey, get a bath, spruce you up.
01:58It's an exciting day.
02:00And made him look in his best.

02:05We got him a bow tie.
02:06You look so good, mate.
02:08Led him down to the gate.
02:11Here we go.
02:13And as soon as we opened the gate,
02:15he got so excited.

02:23It was all of my family and my kids waiting for him on the other side
02:26to let him know that he wasn't going anywhere.
02:29We loved him and wanted to adopt him into our family
02:31and he was over the moon.
02:33We had a big celebration with the family.

02:41I think that we allocated two hot dogs per dog
02:44but Freddo, I think, ended up with five or six.
02:47Freddo found his forever home.
02:49Sure did.
02:51We're just very happy he's been able to spend the last few years
02:55and hopefully another couple of years
02:57living his best life here at the farm
02:59and making up for lost time.
