Godavari Second Phase Works : హైదరాబాద్‌లో తాగునీటి అవసరాల కోసం గోదావరి రెండోదశ పనులకి ప్రభుత్వం గీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చింది. 2050 పరిస్థితిని అంచనా వేసి మల్లన్నసాగర్ రిజర్వాయర్ నుంచి 15 టీఎంసీలను నగరానికి తరలించేందకు సర్కారు రెండోదశ పని మొదలుపెట్టనుంది. ఇందుకోసం రూ.5,560 కోట్లు మంజూరుచేస్తూ పురపాలక శాఖ ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి దానకిషోర్ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేశారు. గోదావరి రెండో దశ పనుల వల్ల నగరానికి తాగునీటితోపాటు మూసీ ప్రక్షాళనలో భాగంగా జంట జలాశయాలకు పునరుజ్జీవం లభిస్తుందని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోంది.

01:09Under Godavari Drinking Water Supply Phase 1, the government is providing 10 TMCs of water from the Ellampally project for the people of Hyderabad.
01:19With the 2nd phase of the project, there is a chance to use another 15 TMCs of water from the Mallanna Sagar reservoir.
01:25Out of those 15 TMCs, 5 TMCs are being used for the people of the city to drink water and 5 TMCs are being used for the people of Janta Jalasa to rejuvenate.
01:36The project DPR has been prepared by WAPCOS.
01:39In this, pump houses, substations, from Mallanna Sagar to Ghanpur have been built with a 3600 mm dia heavy pipeline.
01:47In Ghanpur, a water purification centre with a capacity of 780 MLDs has been built in Samirpet.
01:53From Ghanpur to Muthangi, other works have been done along with the main construction of pumping.
01:58In 2 years, they have set a goal to complete this project.
02:02Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase 1 is supplying 163 MGDs of water.
02:38The government has allocated 9,410 crores to the water supply for the last 10 years.
