00:00Different services from the government are being given by the Kalayaan Palawan LGU to their residents.

00:16Maan, the 10-day maritime patrol and resupply mission of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
00:23in some parts of the West Philippine Sea has ended.
00:26And now, we're on our way back to Port Capinpin in Orion, Bataan.
00:30And Maan, the weather is clear now.
00:32Unlike the past few days, the vessel we're driving is almost broken
00:36by the strong winds and waves due to the bad weather.
00:42Ence Abubakara, a Zamboanga City resident, has been a member of the Philippine Coast Guard for more than 2 years.
00:49But this March, he was assigned to the Kalayaan Palawan LGU
00:53to be a part of the medical team.
00:55Even though he's far away from his family, it's not a hindrance for him to serve.
01:00It's a simple thank you to them for making us feel better.
01:05We're not saddened by the fact that we're here.
01:10Nurse Ence is one of the members of the medical team in Pag-asa Island.
01:14She's eager to provide high-quality services to the residents of the island.
01:19There are two rural health units.
01:21There are oxygen tanks, hospital beds, wheelchairs, fluids, medicines, vaccines, and emergency kits.
01:28But because of the limited equipment, only minor cases can be serviced.
01:33Because of this, they're conducting a teleconsultation from specialists in Puerto Princesa.
01:40The Philippine Air Force is preparing for the medical evacuation to Puerto Princesa if there are major cases.
01:47And on this holiday, the Mega Rural Health Unit will be established
01:51to provide full medical services to the residents of Pag-asa Island.
01:57There's also a demo farm that will provide free food to the residents whenever there's a calamity.
02:02Different kinds of vegetables and fruits are grown here.
02:05There's also a goat-raising farm, poultry, and dragon fruit farm,
02:10the local government that provides additional income to the residents.
02:14Last month, the three artificial reefs in the Marine Protected Area were completed
02:20to provide fish and protection to the major islands.
02:24Not far from here is the DENR Marine Scientific Research Station and Support Facility.
02:30And because this location is surrounded by the sea,
02:33the LGU's priority is to build an evacuation center.
02:38We will continue the projects and programs for the LGU to benefit the residents here.
02:50Shortly after the mission ended, BRP Datu Bangkawa went to Kota Island
02:57where the island survey was conducted.
02:59After that, they went to Tizard Bank and Union Bank
03:04for the maritime patrol and vicinity survey of BFAR.
