Greater Manchester protests - Andy Burnham issues 'stand together' statement amid rally rumours

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has issued a message to people in the region amid reports of further rallies on Wednesday night.

"Look out for each other, check in on neighbours and friends and always, always stand together Greater Manchester," Burnham said.

00:08The message from us is be assured that Greater Manchester Police have strong plans in place to deal with anything if it arises, and I stress if it arises.

00:29There is a lot of disinformation out there, but don't be intimidated by it.
